MSNBC's Keith Olbermann showed up on E!'s The Soup with Joel McHale this week, where he mocked Brooke Hogan's comments about the presidential race ("I think that it's crazy that a woman is running because women deal on emotions and menopause and PMS and stuff") and pretended to cry like a contestant on Legally Blonde.

Apples and oranges, my friend. If Cronkite were a younger upstart in today's media, he ABSOLUTELY would be doing this stuff. Conversely, if Olbermann were an anchor in the 50's he absolutely wouldn't be doing this stuff. It's a different era, and for better or worse, the role of the newsman has changed dramatically.
