Ouch- Cuil Dominates Google Trends (IMAGES)

Cuil, the Google killer which probably won't actually kill Google, has at least managed to spit in the face of the search giant through one of Google's own services.
Google Trends tracks the top searches in the past hour, or different span of time.
This morning the Google competitor started by former Google employees topped Google Trends. This means that people were using Google to find it's spunky new competitor. Misspellings of Cuil and Cuil's founder, Anna Paterson, were also top searches. Google may have been discouraged by this until they see 'Hot Trend' number 35, 'cuil sucks.'

Anna patterson shoulda just spelled it cool. Cool.com isnt owned by any1 so Im sure hshe coulda bought the domain.

Cuil is a stupid spelling.

Plus cuil cant become a verb like "I will google it" or "I googled her name".

the site was bad and slow yesterday. It's nice that cuil is getting a free plug from HuffPo, but cuil sucks.

This search engine is pitiful.....they've done all sorts of filtering but this leaks
in tons and tons of redundancy........which is one of google's great virtues....
first impression is that its ridiculous....in contrast to ask or vivisimo
a thorough disappointment.....you can get the pics with a firefox extension
and googe is about to put them in anyway.....39 million down the drain....

I'm sure no one at Google was covertly typing that into the database. Why would anyone "Google" the term "cuil sucks"? It might in fact suck, but that doesn't mean I would therefore want to learn more about how it sucks by searching on Google.

The fact that you saw'cuil sucks' speaks volumes.

Type in comcast sucks, vonage sucks, cuil sucks- The worst services will turn up thousands of results when you type in they suck.
