I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Rnc Germans

In the clearest sign yet that the Republicans have all but given up on even pretending that they have ideas worth selling to the American people, the Republican National Committee has sunk time and money into this ad, their "best guess" at what an "Obama ad in Berlin" might look like. Apparently, their best guess is founded on the twin precepts that Germans enjoy techno music and that in a crowd of 200,000 people, it's possible to find someone with "Marxist" friends. Even though it has nothing to do with Germans or Marxism or Berlin, the makers of this ad saw fit to include a woefully dated kicker of Obama yelling, "I'm king of the world!" Appropriately: a Titanic joke from a bunch of titanic jokes.

Anyway, NOW IS THE TIME ON SPROCKETS WHEN WE DANCE I GUESS!

This ad is so dumb I had to check to make sure this wasn't a bit of satire on the part of Huffington Post. It is another ad that mostly says good things about Obama.

Now what does this have to do with being POTUS? NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is so sad...And to think this is only August...how low can this campaign go?

wtf? The RNC has gone mad, you can clearly hear leading questions. This is what the Republican National Committee has done, and John McCain should be called to answer for this...

What does David Hasselhoff have to do with any of this ??...I'm so confused

Most rethugs will have trouble understanding the German accents, will likely miss the subtleties and think this is a legit ad for Obama. Is this ad playing somewhere on TV? I love it that they paid money to have it produced and then paid more to have it aired. Of course Faux Gnus may parse it out and explain it to their viewers. Funny.

There are only three words that they want to stick in your mind, Marxist and Che Guevara. The RNC are desperate and depraved. What a snake pit of evil they are. Inexplicably, this ad tries to resurrect the cold war, which we won over almost two decades ago. The theme of the Republicans campaign is "Look back in anger."

Good - let them keep wasting their money on ads like this! God forbid that our allies actually like us!

This is really funny...and completely ridiculous.

Give the creator a D- in Photoshop. Obama's head in the last frames isn't properly sized to the body. Also is that really Obama's voice? Doesn't sound like it to me.

Why D-? well, he did get the head in approximately the right place!

the best part? check out the ending again, that isn't Obama it's his face pasted on. There's a slight size mismatch. Also, is that Obama's voice shouting "I am king of the world"? Doesn't sound like it to me.

Boo!...next please.

That's right McCain and friends keep spending your money on positive Obama ads, we who donate to his campaign really thank you, now he has better things to do with our money, which by the way he is doing an excellent job of.

That is pitiful. I would have loved to see the fist bumps and high fives when the young, internet hipster, intern presented his three days' work to the head of internet action for McCommordore64.

The Obama European tour was a triumph and the RNC is trying to s**t all over it. Obama looked presidential and their guy comes off as snarky, confused twit. It is clear that they are attempting to peal away the young, first time voter from Obama. The RNC and the McCain campaign are co-ordinating the message. The fast cuts and flashing colors of the RNC ad and the references to Britney and Hilton in the McCain ad are targeted to the youngest voters. Axelrod are you paying attention?

Nice ad DNC. I think you should run it immediately. It shows that even Germans are excited about a change in America. It shows Obama as charismatic with broad appeal. It is energetic and upbeat. Well done..........
Oh........
This is an RNC ad?...............
Are they rooting for Obama too? .............................
No........................
It was supposed to be negative? ..........................................
OH!

Obama gets love from the media, from the Germans and from just about everyone he's come in contact with. The only way to fight that is to show how much people love Obama and make them look silly or brainless for thinking that way.

I guess Obama can save his money on positive ads because the RNC is spending their own time and money putting these things together. McCain was stupid enough to actually put that Obama love video on his front page! If I was supporting McCain and was giving him money I'd tell him to pull EVERYTHING related to Obama from his site.

Why give Obama ANY leverage by even mentioning his name? Don't even give him any press! But no, all McCain and company can do is talk against everything Obama says rather than promote original positions and ideas.
