Sherri Shepherd: I Thought Earthquake Was Armageddon (VIDEO)

In light of Tuesday's earthquake in the greater Los Angeles area, Sherri Shepherd told her co-hosts on "The View" Wednesday about her experience living through an L.A. earthquake years ago.

"I was there for the 6.7 [on the Richter scale]," she said. "I woke up next to somebody I wasn't supposed to be with."

"I thought it was Armageddon. I got on my knees ... I started saying the Lord's Prayer," she added. "I was like, 'Please forgive me for what I have just done.'"

No,, I am NOT just giving Sherry a free pass. I doubt that she would make the same snap judgment today. Earthquakes are frightening, PERIOD. Lots of things race through your mind.

With me,, it is always,, are my kids ok.

We each react in different way.

I thought her story was hilarious, and that she now laughs at herself,, made it all the more endearing.
