New McCain Ad Stars Obama And Moses

John McCain debuted another stinging attack video targeting Barack Obama Friday, this time mocking his White House foe as "The One" -- a quasi-religious figure who "anointed" himself to lead the world.

"Can you see the light?" the hard-hitting negative ad asks, following up on Republican McCain's new campaign theme that the Illinois Democrat is arrogant, transfixed by his own celebrity and not yet ready to lead.

The Obama campaign has issued a response. Read it from Ben Smith:

Barack Obama's campaign responded sharply to a new McCain webad depicting Obama as a parody of a biblical prophet.

"It's downright sad that on a day when we learned that 51,000 Americans lost their jobs, a candidate for the presidency is spending all of his time and the powerful platform he has on these sorts of juvenile antics," said spokesman Hari Sevugan. "Senator McCain can keep telling everyone how 'proud' he is of these political stunts which even his Republican friends and advisors have called 'childish', but Barack Obama will continue talking about his plan to jumpstart our economy by giving working families $1,000 of immediate relief."

John McCain is a personal affront to America, and to Christians and Jews the world over; he has stooped to utilizing the prophet Moses to further his campaign for power, this is absolutely unconscionable! Of course, if Senator Obama hits back, the media will decry Senator Obama as not living up to his message of change; otherwise, it is just John being John. Senator Obama, you should treat McCain’s petulant, overt, and totally shameless campaign with some real facts (remember John McCain and the Keating Five scandal). That fact aside, I would advise Obama to continue to run a classy and intelligent campaign, and let McCain spew his poison to the public; it’s extremely difficult to combat such, when the lap-dog media helps McCain spread this garbage instead of calling it trash and refusing it as total nonsense. I implore all Americans, Christians and Jews to rise up and vote against John McCain’s obtuse and vile use of Moses; this can only be seen as McCain trying to secure political power, self interests, and votes at all cost. For those of you that have studied Moses there is no way he should of been used in Mc Cains campaign. There are limits and seeing alot of us respect important biblical prohets this is just sick. Earlier today Huff Post had a photo of McCain and the simple caption "Obsessed". You need no more proof than this ad.

In case you haven't noticed Obama is shown at a podium speaking but the words are not his. Listen to the voice; it's not Obama. Lots of editing throughout the ad which make it positively slanderous.
