Roberta McCain Chimes In On Britney-Paris Ad

Sen. John McCain may be "proud" of the Paris Hilton/Britney Spears ad released this week, but his feisty 96-year-old mother apparently disagrees.

Roberta McCain was a featured guest at a McCain campaign event on Thursday afternoon at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC. The Huffington Post obtained some audio of an exchange after the event where Mrs. McCain is asked about the Paris Hilton ad.

"Oh, well, I didn't see it -- I think it's kinda stupid," she says. "I'm just too old-hat for it. In fact, the other two, I didn't even know who they were. I knew who Paris Hilton was, but then there were other two young girls..." (Someone informed Mrs. McCain that there were only two women in the ad, and that the other was Britney Spears.)

Within a few moments, Roberta was back on message. An acquaintance noted the statement from Rick Davis that was "going to be in the headlines tomorrow," criticizing Obama "for injecting racism into the campaign."

"Oh, he definitely did," Roberta responded.

He should listen to Mommy and stop airing these stupid ads. The one with Charleton Heston has to be the stupidest of them all and nobody under 40 ever saw the film so it just make him look older if that is his only film reference.

Odd that McScum would point to his mother as a reason why he is not too old to be President. Senility obviously runs in the family.

There has to be an age beyond which you no longer need your mother to take up for you. Age 72 is probably several digits beyond the line. A presidential candidate being an elderly momma's boy is not reassuring.

Well, I am glad 96 year old Roberta McCain can see that the ad comparing Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton is stupid. She should have taught her son to do some critical thinking too.

But what McBush does not want you to know is that his father and grandfather died when they were 70 and 61, respectively. Electing a 72 year old president to the hardest job in the world is not ageism it's insane. I blame McBush for putting his ambitions first and putting his country in peril if he does manage to get elected. I know this is the 500 pound gorilla in the room but McBush's age is a huge issue. We all saw what happened in Ronald Reagan's second term where Nancy had to run the white house for him in the end. I hope those McBush voters think Cindy will make a good president.

You got a point there, Quarks! I am 70 something and everyone is dying around me, even those who were kids when I was already in first grade! And my body is getting more and more sore and angry all the time. Last night I woke up and there was some guy in my room, complaining, loudly! Turned out it was my stomach. Cindy will not make a good President, no, and Bobby Jindall is much too young, and then, he is a *fureigner*. Can not have that! :-). Hm, is there a decent-looking sexy guy with brains available for Vice President at the GOP side?
