John Edwards Affair: Hillary Clinton Responds

Hillary Clinton, speaking at an Obama rally in Henderson, NV, offered a brief reaction to John Edwards' admission he'd had an affair.

"My thoughts and prayers are with the Edwards family today and that's all I've got to say," she said.

I think that we dwell too much on the misfortune of others. Edwards made a bad decision, but look what we are doing to his family. I don't think this is fair to his family. I don't think that anyone should make comment on this in public. It is a personal matter and none of our business.

She responded with only one sentence. What she really wanted to say to Elisabeth , why did you beat me up during the campaign. When you knew what your husband did. He started his campaign trying to explain away an affair which the media made a half day report of . All of those in charge of the book of virtues are strangely silent about this but have formed a loud two day chorus about the Edwards affair so far .

John Edwards lauched his campaign from a Hedge fund that he was a lobbyist for;.
Got about 168 contributions there.

This hedge fund was number 5-6 in the Subprime industry. And last August we learned that he had 14M of his own money in this Subprime fund.

This was only a few months before he lauched hundreds of ads on GE-TV trashing the Democrats.
and began to use 1990s Erroneous Republican Talking Points against Hillary that he got From Republican Operatives Chris Mathews and Tim Russert.

This story was forced out into the open by local papers in North Carolina who just wouldn't let it drop despite the fact that the MSM seemed to be staying away from it. Edwards is meaningless and yet still the press needed to yank it out into the open. If only these people could experience what it is like to have something like this explode within THEIR family.

My question, is Why is the MSM going wall to wall with this story? Why do they only bring up Edwards and Clinton's affairs? Didn't John McCain cheat on his crippled first wife? Didn't Newt Gangrene cheat on his cancer patient of a wife?
