There planning to take over the world - ahhhhhhhhhh Iran is part of the world - Russia is too - It is on the hit list.
In his Farewell Address To the People of the United States, George Washington warned about the harm of political party:
"It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which find a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another."
Fast forward to the Project for the New American Century, the Neocon takeover of the Republican Party, Bush, Cheney, Limbaugh, Hannity, AIPAC, the Pentagon Office of Special Plans, Iraq, and now Iran.
Washington warned his fellow countrymen.
The cons are dangerous. The never admit to any mistakes and have no learning curve.
I think the Neocons, White House on down through these nefarious groups, want not only power but since their Big Oil Buddies have secured, with our blood and treasure, the oil of Iraq they are after Iran's oil, of course, and an easier route to the ocean with the oil than through Kuwait. Iran's threat to Israel is just a ruse to justify their evil scheme.
I think if we hadn't made howls of protest every time the administration looked cross-eyed at Iran, they would have started the bombing already. Even they know they need to have a certain percentage of the population behind them in order to attack, and so far Americans have been vocal in their rejection of such a move.
The threat of an attack from Israel circumvents the influence of American citizens on this situation, and I'm holding my breath until we can hopefully restore some sanity to the Executive Branch in America, with positive effects on the whole world. Meantime, don't try to tell me no one is threatening Iran. These guys look like they just can't wait to get started!
Now that they are leaving, I dont think they care if they have even a small minority of the public behind them. I think what they are looking at now is war crimes and future prosecution if they start into Iran without going strictly by the book. Not that the Dems, especially Pelosi , would do anything to them, but the world court or private legal action taken by US citizens could cause an unwanted expense for them. So if they can get Israel to start it, and we support them, then they can say they had nothing to do with it except helping a friend.
Why do I get a knot in my stomach every time I see John Bolton?
Maybe because I know something really BAD is about to happen!
PS.. Oh yeah, you will also find that many of these people in both groups Washington institute for near east policy, and PNAC, have dual citizenships , American and Israeli. So its not like they are a non bias parties who are making level headed decisions. But they are the parties who are deciding for the future for both the US and Israel, and the people of both countries dont seem to have much of a say. Thats just wrong.

when did Israel become the 51st state?...when is someone going to mention that Isreal has been in violation of UN resolutions for 40 years? AEI is one of the most lunatic institutions I have ever seen in Washington besides the Scientology house just off of Connecticut Avenue by the Hilton where Hinkley shot President Reagan. Please don't laugh, but one of AEI's highest awards is the Irving Kristol Award who is recognized as the "godfather of neoconservatism" who was also a Trotskyist in his youth and apparently, still is.
I guess if you are a failed scholar with no academic background in Middle-Eastern studies whose CV consists mainly of letters of recommendation from your buddies and trash published in non-peer reviewed journals, you can qualify for a position at AEI. By the way, I wonder how many of these pseudo-scholars who are advocating war with Iran can speak Parsi?
Today i happened to be in an office and read a mcleans (Canadian newseekly) from June 23/08. Talking about points of view on Iran, they referred to the AEI as a "conservative thinktank." You know, just a plain old run of the mill boring ol' policy wanktank.
I swear, if it wasn't for the internet, we wouldn't even know what a neoconservative is.

It was a plan first hatched by Rumsfield and Cheney during Bush Sr.'s term, discarded by him as "too radical", provided the election platform for Israel's Netanyahu in 1996, then adapted formally by a neo-con "think tank", PNAC, in 1997, finally finding their perfect "patsy" in GWB, whose election they ensured in 2000, with one of their founding members, Cheney, selecting himself as V.P.! All of them were placed in the highest levels of the Bush administration!
Since we were "the world's only remaining superpower", they contended that we will allow no other nation in the world to challenge our superiority! Their chief goal was the "re-shaping" of the ME by establishing permanent bases in Iraq after regime change, then expanding to change the regimes of all countries around Israel to democracies, thereby eliminating the threats to Israel! The military requirements to do this were spelled out in "Rebuilding America's Defenses" (Sept. 2000), calling for "another Pearl Harbor" to mobilize the American public for such a massive project. Excellent summary. We have been trying to inform people of this ever since the invasion. It is time for Americans to WAKE UP ! Not only is druidlady's comment totally correct, but she left out the part that MSM is also complicit in this dasterdly plan....which is why there is NEVER any mention of PNAC on any news channel....even FOX who has the author of the plan (Kristol) on screen regularly. WAKE UP AMERICA.....THEN SPREAD THE TRUTH !!!!!!!!!!!!!
