Just 5 minutes and 51 seconds? I still shudder whenever I see that green screen speech and that forced smile with the line, "That's not change we can believe in."
In all seriousness, the main concern that I have is that McCain seems to have lost his stride and direction. Back in 2000, I really thought that he was an interesting candidate and far superior to Bush. I think the monikor of "maverick" did apply to him at that time; at least in comparison to many of his Republican colleagues. Several have said that the McCain of 2008 would vote for the McCain of 2008 and I think that's true.
The gaffes, etc. seem to be indicative of not being prepared or well-versed in the issues. A number of commentators have said that the disjointedness in his ideas and the gaffes look like someone who's reading a speech for the first time and isn't comfortable with it. Several others, including Republican colleagues have said things like the ads that he's run don't seem to "be him." It unfortunately reminds me of President Bush who surrounded himself with all of these "great advisors," but just seems to take direction from them and never seems to be on top of things because he hasn't read the speech.
You forgot his trite "my friends...that's not change, etc." McCain is not my friend.

Boy, it sure is refreshing to see gaffes like this beamed into every American living room by ABC, NBC, CBS and that bastion of balanced reporting, Fox News. What? Am I mistaken? That was UTube??? You mean the mainstream media is NOT reporting on this?

I do believe that once we get the Clinton situation resolved, we could see a more agressive Obama campaign. At this time, he not only have to be concern about the negative route the repugs are taking. The negative Clinton campaign is coming back to haunt us, as we knew it would. Obama now has to take the high road for the democratic party and the partys' victory in November. If the Clintons would do the same, we would see the polls reflect the unity that is needed for a democratic victory. I certainly hope the Edwards tragedy has knock some of the wind of of the Clintons sail. Obama 08!
McCain sounds more and more like Bush every day. At least McCain has his advanced age as an excuse.
He looks like he is heavily medicated in some of these. Is C indy's drug problem spreading?
The man is an embarrassment, he is almost as inarticulate as W, is this the best the republicans have to offer?
This seems like a game the republicans play, lets pick the worse candidate imaginable and see if we can win anyway.
Intelligence and an understanding of the economy is not an important criteria for republicans, continuing to rob from the poor to give to the rich and starting unjustified wars to protect corporate investments is an essential platform for a republican nominee.
Isn't this what you should expect from a fellow who finished numbedr 894 in a class of 899 at the academy? If anyone ever claimed John McCain to be a brain, he must have been a Repuiblican.

These gaffes are very disturbing to watch. Americans have endured 8 years of an BABBLING IDIOT, why then would we want to SUFFER another PAINFUL four with this old wind bag! Now the world will really think less of us if we elect John McAdulterer. America has truly lost it's prominence and status.

Where do we send $$? Someone needs to air this, if the traditional media won't do it on their own (though I think they are missing the boat... I think it would be a real ratings grabber if they DID run this!)
An easier way is to post it to facebook where many people will see it. Send it out as a funwall post to everyone you know, and so on.

By the way, McCain was abused for five years as a Vietnamese prisoner of war. God only knows what mental scars he still carries to this day. Does anyone else feel uneasy about the fact he may have his finger on the nuclear button?
