Thursday, McCain, who has contended that Obama is willing to lose in Iraq to win the election, said his rival would forfeit the war as part of an agenda that also promotes big government and high taxes.

McCain told those gathered for a town hall meeting in Lima, in northwest Ohio, that Obama is a talented orator with an agenda that could be boiled down to simple policies the Arizona Republican opposes.

"Government is too big, he wants to grow it. Taxes are to high, he wants to raise them," McCain said during the meeting. "Congress spends too much and he proposes more. We need more energy and he's against producing it. We're finally winning in Iraq, and he wants to forfeit."

McCain later spoke at a campaign fundraiser in Cincinnati attended by Rob Portman, a former Ohio congressman believed to be on the short list of potential McCain running mates.

Mc CAIN wants to convince the people that Obama is going to raise taxes even if Obama never stated that way
My question is :with a debt of 500 000 000 000 how on earth is the country will recover, or balance the budget without RAISING taxes SInce BUSH threw out the money during 8 years...
Sincerely how is it possible to have the money that is necessary without taking more money from the people...Does Mc CAIN or OBAMA plan to ask China, Japan ,Korea and SAUDI ARABIA to wipe that debt????!!!??!!!!
and remember in 2003 USA owed to the world 36 100 000 000 000 dollars
i can't imagine how much it can be now!!!!
So what's the solution?

Nothing McCain says makes any sense. When is the MSM going to call him out for that?

Mr. Former Maverick, unlike most Americans, you have 8 (or is it 9) homes to nest in and an unlimited bank account on which to draw. Enjoy your retirement before you wreck any chance of the rest of us ever having ours.

You can use your retirement to read up on all of the U.S. government and history you find so confusing.

Everthing, Everthing, John McCain says is false on its face yet the MSM let's him drone on unchallenged. These journalists have families too, don't they? They more than most people have been close enough to see the follies and misdeeds of these Repuglicans, lo these eight years, and yet they can stand there mute? Who are these people? What are they made of? When will they decide that this experiment, which is our republic, needs their help? Since we have a legislature which is held hostage by special interest corporate greed, when will the Fourth Estate exercise its responsibility.
Hell, we've just found out that there is an interrogation cell in the White House, for gods sake.
What is it going to take to end the madness and bring these criminals to task????

Mccain at this point is doing as told. He doesn't have a clue. What an embarassment for the Republicans. Is this desperate man the best they can do? We don't need another dud in the White house. Why doesn't he discuss plans to help Americans? We are in desperate need of help ourselves .Talk about the surplus of money the Iraqi's have. Come up with some original ideas. You act and look like the green eyed monster.

I was out eating lunch with some co-workers yesterday and I seen some Vet's. I asked them how do they feel about the election. It was 8 old white men in their late 60's to mid 70's...Still looking pretty good for their age. They all responded we were voting for McCain until he started to run a nasty campaign and saying that american future president wanted our troops to die to win an election..One became really mad, that McCain would say that when he voted against Webb G.I. bill...So they are now supporting Obama, they said he may not have been in Politics for a long time, but he has been consist with his ads, behavior, policies and atitude towards McCain, CLinton and Media...One even had an Obama sticker in his folder and will waiting for the rain to stop to place it on his car..It say VET's for Obama.......

SO McCain is doing damage to his own camp and Obama didnt even hit him hard yet......

Would someone please tell me what the big payoff is to our remaining in Iraq? We have paid dearly for the ineptitude of this administration. Money. Lives. For what? Where's the oil? A famous Marine general once said that there are only two reasons to go to war: to defend this country and to defend the Constitution. Anything else is a racket. When will we stop swallowing that bullshit line about "spreading Democracy"? Can we cut to the bottom line? Our lives are not better because of Iraq. We are not safer. We've wasted time, money, lives and the economy. Who's responsible? Who's accountable? Meanwhile we have to listen to the death rattle of the Republican party in John McCain who has had months to prepare for battle with Barack Obama and still looks, acts and sounds like a doddering old fool. Enough lies and enough noise. Let's cut to the chase and string up the Bushco and Wall Street gangs so we can get on with the very real job of putting this country back on track.

John McCain is way behind the times. Obama doesn't have to forfeit our presence in Iraq to win the election. Al-Maliki has done that for him. The Iraqis want us out of there a whole lot more than Obama does.

Would someone please reach over and slap McCain on the back of the head. Gezz this man is insane and needs to get his act to gether. Obama is trying to save this country from all the destruction brought upon it by the Republican party; McCain should be thankful that someone is willing to pick up the pieces and put this country back together.

For weeks now the Iraqi Government and USA have been in discussions on the exit plan; one would have to be head in sand or under a super large dunce cap to miss the news on this fact.

Loser!

DITTO...

Times ten thousand. I can't stand this joke that calls himself a candidate.

The old military motto - "Never leave a man behind". Apparently Mc-Infidelity figures that didn't apply to his nearly-disabled wife and kids.

What a lying piece of garbage he is.

"Government is too big, he wants to grow it."
Lie! Sen. Obama wants it to be more effective not criminally inept as it's been these past 8 years.

"Taxes are to high, he wants to raise them,"
Lie!!! The tax rate is too LOW and we are racking up insanely large debt that is ruining this economy. Sen. Obama wants to raise taxes only on the top 1% earners (whose tax rates are unfairly low) while cutting taxes for the middle class.

"Congress spends too much and he proposes more."
Lie! A REPUBLICAN Congress has spent too much on the wrong things. We need to spend more on the right thing e.g. infrastructure, energy development, health care, etc. - all thing that will stengthen this country and it economy.

"We need more energy and he's against producing it."
LIE!!! You, Sen. McCain, are hell bent on maintaining the status quo so that your big oit buddiescan continue to rake in record profits at the expense of the rest of us.

"We're finally winning in Iraq, and he wants to forfeit."
LIE! What are we "winning" in Iraq??? We need to shift our dwindling military resources out of Iraq to where the real fight against the people who attacked us on 9/11 - Afghanistan.

Where are Sen. Obama's surrogates when yet another Republican is spouting provable lies about his positions.
