Obama DNC Speech Sells Out In 24 Hours

CNN:

Tickets for Barack Obama's Democratic National Convention speech at the Invesco Field in Denver sold out within 24 hours, according to campaign officials.

In early July, convention organizers announced the Illinois senator would officially accept the Democratic nomination at the 75,000 seat stadium rather than a 20,000 seat hall.

This article has some very unfortunate wording. Sold Out isn't really accurate - as the tickets are free, and not 'sold'. I'm on the waiting list, along with many other Colorado residents. As far as I know, those who have tickets (other than the obvious dignitaries that were going to get seats no matter what), probably don't even know yet.

In other news,the republican presidential candidate is trying to do a fundraiser in Arizona at the Tempe VFW hall.Tickets went on sale in early June and there are still 450 seats available at a dollar fifty each.The area Burger Kings are also handing out tickets with the purchase of anything,so far no takers. When those tickets sell out or are given away he'll be addressing a crowd of possibly 483 people.

The event should be hilarious. When Obama takes the stage members of the flock will begin to scream and weep in tears of joy, many swooning. Barrack will lay hands on the sick and crippled, and they will be healed. Those newly healed who were touch by Him will joyously run across stage, for He hath performed miracles. Koolaid will be served free of charge. He will feed the crowd fish and loaves of bread (or bratwurst and beer as he did in Berlin). The offering plate will be passed. At the conclusion of the event, to the strains of "Happy Days are Here Again", He will summon the flock to the stage to be be saved. Go forth, sin no more, and vote for Barrack!

Too bad he will just be a Senator on January 21, 2009.
