Obama

Things really have deteriorated between John McCain and the press: even the Wall Street Journal editorial board is turning on him. The famously conservative group publishes a column praising the economic policy of none other than Barack Obama:

The underreported economic news of the week is that Barack Obama favors a stronger dollar. Even better, he thinks a stronger greenback would help to reduce oil prices.

That at least is what the Democratic Presidential candidate told a town hall forum in Parma, Ohio, on Tuesday. "If we had a strengthening of the dollar, that would help" reduce fuel costs, he said, according to a Reuters dispatch ignored by most of the media. ... We don't know who is whispering in Mr. Obama's ear about the dollar, but he's on to a rich political vein.

Read the whole thing.

Maybe the formula is TOO simple for people to understand.

If a DOLLAR is worth 50% of what it was 20 years ago then EVERYTHING costs TWICE as much now.

OIL is priced in DOLLARS so ......................................... Get it?

We still reference in dollars. That is why it looks so expensive. The dollar is down compaired to the Euro.

WSJ has to maintain some standards, after all, as their readership can think.

McC plan: pass out still more offshore leases, hype up drilling, insult efforts at gas conservation.

Sen O plan: strengthen the dollar, invest in energy technologies that deliver returns to the national economy, rally the public to cut back on consumption.

One of these plans strengthens the American economy and moves us away from oil dependence.

One just boosts oil profits.

Guess which one's going to improve the stock market?

The prospect of our President being someone who understands economics is so exciting after 8 years of Bozo! The concept that the country could once again be respected and looked to for leadership is thrilling.

Sure Mc & cohorts will slam WSJ ... but, the issue is O's clear understanding of ECONOMICS and Mc's total ignorance thereof!! No, I'm talking about Mc's ignorance ... not his surrogates or should I say his puppet string adjusters ... HIM!! Mc speaks of who understands what and where while he clearly demonstrates he himself is lost in the wilderness without assistance!

Clearly he continues to sh$t himself with these rediculous distracting ads, formed to redirect attention to his own ineptitudes!! There are special places in assisted care facilities for those who continually sh$t themselves!!

No one! If Obama had mentioned Paris Hilton it would have made the ticker. That's the problem with this campaign season, the media is all wrapped up in the bafooneries of McCain instead of the POLICIES of Obama. Morning Joe still asking who Obama is and does America know this guy yet and understand his history. Instead of who stands for what and so on.

Actually his daddy fixed it so he could try to fly. He was better at crashing, and single-handedly destroyed 5 planes. That makes him a better pilot than his clone, W.

You are still stuck in the fifties listening to that old voice of Joseph McCarthy... The current issues do not seem to get you out of that era. It would not surprise me if you were impressed with the maturity, intellectual brilliance, common sense, and down to earth smarts of George W Bush, a man who never has read a serious book in his life... You can not win an argument when bringing Karl Marx to the table.

Check out WSWS. It's a Trotskyist, Marxist site that publishes M-S. There are a few other Marxist sites around too. No, I don't live on the Virgin Islands.

Mc Cheese has been sulking because the WSJ, you know the ones who, uh, know the economy, have been all over his old butt as of late.

Check how Mayor Mc Cheese treated one of the WSJ reporters and check out how primary care giver Lindsay Graham reacts, it's priceless.

Obama, tripped on this , showing lack of experience. Yeah, the dollar would have been stronger, however we would have had higher interest rates which many want to do to help the dollar. Meaning depression. Today increasing rates is the only way to increase the dollar. In the past , the Biggest thing that would help the dollar would be balanced budgets like we had with Bill Clinton. Lower interest rates kick in as the usa is not borrowing in the capital markets to cover the deficit. A conservative congress prevented overspending with clinton. No chance in today's congress. Expect a lower dollar in the future, meaning higher oil prices as oil is tied to the dollar. That's why we have to be independent of foreign oil.Tip for the "evil speculators " in the blog..

And all the pundits say that the Republicans are loyal to the GOP. I must have misread that, it was the G D P. A leopard always shows his true spots. Money is King to the nasty Republicans. Wake up America!
