Clintons Likely To Forfeit $13 Million Loan

Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton, who once deducted $6 on their taxes for donating three pairs of his underwear, plan to take a $13-million hit to their personal bank account by forfeiting loans she made to her failed presidential campaign.

The campaign will allow to expire a mid-September deadline for paying them back, sources close to the campaign told Politico, at which point they will automatically be recategorized as contributions, confirming a decision by Clinton to forego repayment that many had expected her to make.

However, Clinton could get some post-deadline wiggle room to repay herself -- and possibly with less of a public backlash -- if Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) prevails in a little-noticed challenge to a rule requiring candidates to pay back loans of more than $250,000 within 20 days of the election.

For the Clinton campaign, the 20-day loan-repayment clock will start ticking when her vanquisher Barack Obama officially ends the Democratic primary by accepting the party's presidential nomination Aug. 28 at Invesco Field in Denver.

If H illa ry doesn't pull anything shady at the convention, I'll be the first one to send her some $$$$. But not before then. I still don't trust her. And I'm not going to give her money and than be sorry for it later. I was already fooled once by a C lin ton, believing that he couldn't possibly have misbehaved with Monica. Fool me once . . . well, you know the rest.

Something strange about that. I can't imagine 18 million people (that was the last figure the Clinton campaign threw out there about supporters), demanding their voices be heard, couldn't come up with $1 a piece....or 9 million couldn't squeeze out $2?

[laughing]

I'd been writing "put up or shut up" all along, but Huffpost kept deleting my remarks. They wanted her for Democratic nominee but each wouldn't sacrifice a beer, a pack of cigarettes, a candy bar, or a single bag of cheese puffs. How committed were they really?

Are we supposed to feel sorry for the Multi millionaires? All the Clintons will do is write this off of their taxes, like we poor schmos won't be able to do. That is why iit was ridiculous to expect the average person to contribute to her bail out.

They can afford to forgo the 13 mil. and they have never been transparent as they demanded of Barack Obama. Once again they set a double standard for themselves, as if they are entitled, which they are sadly, sadly mistaken. He does not need to run to Africa, they are wise to him. Bill Clinton's burst his own bubble and damaged his own legacy, he did it to himself , not so smart after all.

Gee, according to pumaann and closetodemfection, PUMA and the diehard Hillary supporters supposedly had this all take care of...what happened? Poor Hillary - and I don't mean that facetiously, I honestly feel sorry for her - so many embarrassingly loud-mouthed advocates, yet so few willing to continue to vote with their dollar. I guess that I will have to troll over to her site today and do what so many of her supporters have proven unwilling to do - contribute.

When Hillary dropped out of the campaign I was relieved. The campaign had turned to negative spliting the Democratic party. I am Obama supporter and sent a donation to Hillary's campaign to help retire the debt. I even reached out to Clinton supporters to try to mend the divide and suggest they help Hillary retire her debt. Most were not ready to listen. Many Hillary supporters now, have come back to the party and i welcome them.
But those who support Hillary should take a look at PUMA and other groups supposedly supporting her. I believe they are taking advantage of your dedication to Hillary and working for their own self interest EI money. If you have not given to Hillary why not? 5,10, 25 dollars help and wont hurt too much if you can afford it.
Obama supporters lets act with some class when talking to our fellow Democrats they are not the enemy. And you Republicans pretending to be Hillary supporters we will be outing you soon enough.

Just if you think about it, and I mentioned this before, Wolfson doesn't blame JE per se. The unspoken implication is that it's the media's fault, for they knew about it way back when and didn't break it in a big way. That will be the springboard from which Wolfson, no doubt, will launch his next move, and here it is: this is a vast media conspiracy against H. They wanted her to lose.

Get the violin.
