Anti-Obama Book Tops NYT Bestseller List

NEW YORK — Whether they like him or oppose him, readers want to hear more about Barack Obama.

"The Obama Nation," an anti-Obama book written by Jerome V. Corsi, will debut at No. 1 come Sunday on The New York Times' hardcover nonfiction best-seller list. Corsi was co-author of "Unfit for Command," an influential 2004 best-seller that condemned the Vietnam War record of then Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry.

Obama, the Democrats' presumptive nominee in 2008, is himself the author of the million-selling "Dreams From My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope."

Interest in him is so strong that even an upcoming policy book, usually the toughest of sells, is catching on. A compilation of speeches and policy statements by Obama and his campaign staff, "Change We Can Believe In," had reached the top 75 on Amazon.com by Monday evening, less than a day after The Associated Press reported the book would come out in September.

"Change We Can Believe In" has an announced first printing of 300,000.

The Thug party is notorious for buying up huge volumes of books just to make it look like it is successful.

There was a story some years back about how a few people had purchased upwards of 5 thousand books apiece to make it look like it had been a hottest thing to hit the stands in years.

Scientology perfected this scam decades ago to make it look like scamology was huge bestseller when all the cultists were ordered to buy as many books as they could everytime they went to the bookstore.

I knew one girl who had ten copies of Dianetics and hadn't opened 9 of them.

So when they say it's opening at No.1 I have my doubts that there are that many people buying so much as certain buyers are purchasing large amounts to inflate the numbers.

Why wouldn't it sell out? Everyone wants a good laugh and I'm sure every Obama campaign worker is buying it to see what the the McCain folk will be spewing in the fall. While I'm at it, just because McCain has a lot of experience in congress, it does not mean that he has the experience to be a president. A military pilot and prisoner of war, is a hero, but that happened 40 years ago, it does not give him experience for war, many military things have changed. While I respect that McCain is older I can not believe that as a congressman he never learned or used the computer, and that his wife is trying to teach him how to turn the computer on and e-mail. He is not diplomatic and he is not president material!

We already know who wants those wars, unless we're completely stupid. If you look at it practically McCain is a failure.
Graduated nearly last in his class at the Naval Academy (most likely only graduating at all because daddy was an admiral). Lost two planes that I know of (I've heard there's more) one jet didn't even get off the deck. Was shot down and gave up information under torture (or because he wanted a smoke so bad). Failed his ailing wife by divorcing her and marrying beer heiress (how is he different than John Edwards).

All things considered McCain's fame would be considered infamy in most countries with a functioning press.

Anyone who is worried about this book needs to google Jerome Corsi. He is a really wacko right winger. He asserts in this book that Obama is in favor of killing infants at birth if the mother chooses to do so. The man is really crazy with hatred, and lies like a rug. No one who has ANY intelligence will believe anything he says in this book. Only nut cases like the shooter in the Tennessee church will be swayed by his hatred. That is the danger of books like this.
