Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee may be the only presidential candidate to come out of the campaign with more than what he went in with.

Huckabee quietly taped a pilot in New York for a weekend cable TV show that is set to debut on Fox News Channel sometime this fall. ...

And what if Sen. John McCain wins in November? Would he take a cabinet post if offered?

"Why would I want to do that?" Huckabee says.

"I'm gonna have a good life out here in the private sector," he says. "Why would I go back to telling everybody in the world how much money I make and . . . barely surviving to have some obscure cabinet post and have some 20-year-old from the White House telling me what I'm gonna do?"

What happened to "Country First." Or even in his case "God's will first." Hypocrates the whole lot of them.

Why would you want your name connected to McCain? This is a smart move for you, McCain is a sinking ship, and you are not the first one to bail!.

Makes sense to me. Government service in it's current form in America has lost both it's credibility and desirability.

whatever you do read between the lines. mr. saint wants money. civil service does not pay what he could be paid. he was the poorest of the group and he wants to cash in. he's seen the light. he's living one of the seven deadly sins.... maybe a few of them...bless his little heart.

What happen Huck was busy giving speeches at the NRA and touting the lies of Mc with gusto, now he is looking out for number 1;

Mc have one of his infamous senior tough-guy blow-ups on him?
McBush little league team (20 year olds) rubbed him the wrong way?
Unhappy with the carly fiorina wing of the party?
Last bit of religious tea leave reading tell him; it ain't gonna fly; being a pundit is an easy gig because facts are not important?
Thinking "I see jail time" if he travels with the McBush with the lobbyist parade

I disagree with pretty much every policy that Huckabee has...but I gotta admit, I LOVE watching the guy speak and give interviews. He may be an extreme nutjob (IMO), but he is hilarious and extremely intelligent.

Check out his interviews on Colbert and Daily Show for some great examples of this.

Just another phoney baloney evangelical seeking fame and fortune, never getting to understand separation of church and state,

This man proves to me that a lot of "preachers" just use that as a stepping stone to better paying jobs. So much for his "deep religious faith" It was a scam to make money, until the big payoff came around. Why do so many of them turn to politics, well THAT is where the real money is. He had a lot of people fooled with his Holy Joe persona, pretty much like Georgie. He is just an empty suit. I wonder how long his "show" will last? I never watch Fox, the White House private network.

Wow. Interesting. So he assumes McCain would slip into the same role that Bush has played, and that the present structure would be unchanged. Administration operatives fresh out of Christian law schools would be giving the agency heads their operating orders straight from the Administration, just as they are doing now.

"Why would I want to do that?' " basically, why would I serve my country if asked? Wow - What a patriot!

No, he's saying why would he want to try to fit into the current corrupt and top-down control structure which JM will inherit.

So unless this holier than thou fake gets to be top dog, he's not interested? So much for serving your country. Maybe he'll get his teeth fixed before his little show.
