Report: Keith Olbermann Refuses To Participate In MSNBC-MySpace Partnership

Keith Olbermann is again being an embarrassment to MSNBC. The cable channel and MySpace have teamed up to choose two "citizen journalist" correspondents to cover the upcoming national political conventions. The "journalists" will be featured both on MySpace and MSNBC's campaign coverage. A spy said, "Every anchor is onboard and willing to play along, except Keith. He refuses to participate because MySpace is owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp." - which also owns Fox News and The Post.

Some of you need to calm down, this is an embarrassment to NBC that its most prominent news and political anchor must point out to management in public that collaborating with Murdock and Fox News is not consistent with his own program's appeal and viewership. This is not to say that Olbermann is the embarrassment, but those in management who didn't thoroughly think through this gimmick beforehand.

For Olbermann to have to point it out now, puts 'eggs' on their face, not his. Some fail to realize that those who actually reside in the rarified air of the 1% know each other and see nothing wrong with getting together to make a little more money, it is those in the trenches who absolutely are fed up with a system which does not stand upon principles.

I agree that Olbermann is not the embarrassment here. Either management made this bonehead decision without consulting their top draw, or they proceeded over his valid objections.

All that is needed for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing. Murdoch must be resisted at every opportunity.

KO is the only television personality that accurately reflects both my interests and viewpoints, and the story above, real or false, merely amplifies my affection for him. To draw such ire from those blowhards is exactly what makes him my kind of bloke. More people should be taking note of what a real man is. Keith is brutally honest with a wit like no other. Keith Olbermann is a genius. Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity and Coulter hate him because he is the only journalist willing to stand up to them and call them on their lies and stupidity. The only show I look forward to watching each evening is Countdown. Not only is it very informative but it is also entertaining. Plus, Keith has stories that you won't see on the other networks. Stories that tell the truth about Bush and McCain. It's MSNBC and Countdown that's fair and balanced. Fox, on the other hand, is a pathetic joke. It worships at the alter of George Bush, John McCain, and every other crooked Republican in the country. Fair and balanced? Don't make me sick.
