The folks behind "The Obama Nation," the wildly successful but factually disputed new book trashing presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, are casting it as a scholarly, thoroughly researched work.

But its author has left a trail of wild theories, vitriol and dogma that have called into question his credibility.

Jerome Corsi, who rose to prominence as the co-author of a book attacking 2004 Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, penned another tome asserting oil is a nearly infinite resource that continues to generate naturally, and posted a series of online comments through 2004, including suggestions that Hillary Rodham Clinton is a lesbian and Muslims worship Satan.

In an interview with Politico, Corsi pointed out that he's apologized for Internet postings ripping Muslims and Catholics, and said they don't undermine the integrity of his new book.

"I wrote those to be provocative and I said I would not use that kind of politically incorrect language again, and I don't believe I have," he said.

As reported on CNN last night, this book is being bought in bulk by the people who support this shamed, lying author and his vile trite in an attempt to push it on the NYT list and up. This is an obvious contrived right wing move to push Ron Suskind's -undisputed- book "The Way of the World" out of the media spotlight and off of this administration's crimes. This is also an attempt to push Scott McClellan's book, "What Happened" and Vincent Bugliosi's book, "The Prosecution of GWB For Murder" down on the list. Well, we can buy books too! Those who care about the direction of this country can reverse this wicked, neocon, smearing trend by supporting the authors who courageously Actually Research and Expose The Truth.

LMAO! I saw another post about Keith Olberman where the statement "he tells it like it is" was accepted as gospel. Thought I would try it here. Is everyone really believing this left/right crap or are they/we just brainwashed from hearing it all the time? I won't buy this book. I won't read this book. I won't watch Olberman or O'Reilly. I listen to the candidates and form my opinions. Corsi's book could be all true or all BS. The same could be said of McClellan or Suskind. Most people will never know for sure. If there was anything remotely negative against Obama, the GOP and the McCain people would have had a fest by now (if Hilary had not already done so).

I heard the author on Larry King (I refuse to give him a name). He is obviously out for money. He knows how to take comments from other people and make them look like facts. This is the worst form of journalism. He thinks no one will ever sue him because that would just give his "book" more publicity. I hope someone does sue him. Hopefully Obama's Chicago hard nose politics will be able to fight this type of thing. Watch it right wing. I used to live in Chicago -- they know how to fight in politics.
