Corsi Again Again

So, on last night's Larry King Live, one of the things that Paul Waldman brought up as a way of demonstrating Obama Nation author Jerome Corsi's lack of credibility was his past embrace of bigotry and general scumbaggery, as documented by "a whole series of bigoted and hateful posts" that Corsi "put up on right-wing Web sites." None of which Corsi denied! But, Corsi defended himself by shooting back that Waldman had failed to mention "all my apologies for those statements."

Well, like just about everything else that dribbles out of Corsi's cakehole, you can take those apologies and discount them entirely, because this Sunday, he is set to make an appearance on the well-named "The Political Cesspool" - which, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, is "an overtly racist, anti-Semitic radio show hosted by self-avowed white nationalist James Edwards." In the past, the show has welcomed some marquee names in the hate movement, including "Christian Identity pastor Pete Peters, Holocaust denier Mark Weber and former Klan boss David Duke."

If you can bear a look at some of the show's Great Works, you can do so here. This is how they roll in the Breakaway Republic of Swiftboatistan, all with the clucking approval of mainstream political media darling Mary Matalin, who regards these excrementalist dolts as "great scholars."

UPDATE: Sam Stein reports that he has received an email from Winston Smith, confirming Corsi's appearance on the show. Smith's email reads as follows: "Dr. Corsi's first appearance on our broadcast was very well received. On Sunday's show he'll be talking about his new book about Barak [sic] Hussein Obama. It'll be a fascinating converstaion [sic], and we hope you'll listen in."

So, on last night's Larry King Live, one of the things that Paul Waldman brought up as a way of demonstrating Obama Nation author Jerome Corsi's lack of credibility was his past embrace of bigotry and...

Is James Edwards more or less racist and anti semitic that Rev. Wright, Rev. Flaeger, or Louis Farrakhan?

Are Rev. Wright, Rev. Flaeger or Louis Farrakhan working for the Obama campaign or for the Democratic party? uh... NO, in fact they have been loudly dissavowed. This *sshat is embraced by your candidate's party operatives and is in fact, part of their campaign strategy. Enjoy the backlash, halfwit.

Just to point out, according to him on Larry King he is not supporting Mccain or the Republican party but a smaller candidate from I think the Constitutional Party, as I think he was one of the people in the running to head that ticket.

I'm not sure of the point that's being made, but hate should be addressed whenever it shows up regardless of whether the source is White/Black, Christian/Muslim, male/female, gay/straight, etc./etc.

I do recall that Wright and Flaeger and Farrakahn have all taken a beating in the MSM and now it's Corsi's turn; and rightfully so with all if hate is indeed the message.

This country has so much potential, but we're not running anywhere to to capacity because of the "inefficiencies" caused by division and hate.

Flegger is white, just in case you missed the memo. Racism doesn't infer accusatory language, although it is part of a racist's basic tools; it infers that one considers his own 'ethnic' stock superior to the ethnic stock of others. Too many knee-jerks knowingly and unknowingly misuse the word racism, when we have a 400 year history in this nation of what racism looks like, feels like and behave likes.

Some here call racism anything that discusses or points to 'white behavior' as a defensive mechanism, even as whites remain as the only potential enthic group with the power and wealth to implement laws and statues to deny life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to non-whites. While what Wright, Farrakhan or Flegger represents may be denounceable, their words in and of themselves does not rob one 'white' soul of his freedom, nor does it represent any barriers to their freedom to assemble, to representation or to petition on their own behalf.

The knee-jerks figure by lowering the bar of what is considered to be 'racism' they can grey the past demons of 'white racism' which differs from mere inflamatory rhetoric; it was a brutal and often violent system of laws designed to deny citizenship rights to non-whites. If non-whites experiences with racism was only angry, loud-mouth whites spouting bigotry for 400 years, who we could choose to ignore, you might actually have a point, in which in this case you offer none.

You are so right, and I have never heard a better explanation of this than yours I am going to keep a copy of your explanation in the event I ever need it. Thank you

One of the most puzzling aspects of contemporary race relations is this new widely accepted concept that the mere mention or acknowledgement (and especially resentment of) institutional racism and this country's legacy of white supremacy...is in fact, racist in and of itself. That somehow Rev. Wright has been manipulated and twisted into the black equivalent of David Duke is plainly ridiculous. The most regretful development to come out of Obama's historic campaign for the White House so far is that, by being forced to condemn and demonize the former pastor of his church, Barack has indirectly lent credence to this silly train of thought.

VSamuels: you're confusing "infer" with "imply"; the doer implies, the receiver infers. you're also limiting the definition of racism to discrimination; if the Nation of Islam still believes, as they did in Malcolm's day, that the white race is evil Yacob, the hybrid experiment gone awry, that's racism, regardless of the exercise of power from believers that results.

Typical republian smoke-screen ploy: try to find something to make the thing your guilting of doing look like a "wash". Sorry, 98 percent of blacks are NOT republicans for a reason. And are any of the names you mentioned above working on any campaigns? Just go on YouTube and search on Barack Obama and you'll see the number of conservatives using the N-word to describe Obama.

I've said from the beginning that the presidential campaign conducted by the republican party is going to be the most racist in the history of campaigns.

A criticism here: what's with calling Corsi a resident of "Swiftboatistan"? Isn't that kind of a slur based on the idea that Central Asian countries ending in "Stan" are funny or crazy or something? We saw enough of that in "Borat". Anyway, I would a lot rather live in Kyrghyzstan or any other country with a Turkic name than in a country composed of Corsis.

I think the "stan" suffix is perfectly awesome.

In fact, my friends and I have long advocated carving a new state out of West Virginia, Western North Carolina, East Tennessee and the foothills of North Georgia, all areas that are sold short by their respective state governments. We're going to call it, "Appalachiastan."

The rest of the country will call it, "Inbredistan". Or maybe "Trashistan".

Corsi is just having a vicodin low and listening to Wagner too much. Cut the brownshirt some slack: he and his other bottom-feeding Republinazi scum were just trying to make a buck.

Maybe after he takes the white hood off later he'll be open to rational discussion.

Mary Matalin and James Carville, have been hawking their "partnership" of Republican+Democrat spoof for quite a while. They have been making a fool of the MSM with their act of being legitimate political operatives, while overtly being race baiting shills for the underbelly of both parties.
It's about time the public woke up to their lucrative political game and put them both out of the " fair and balanced opinion giving" business.

I cannot believe that anybody normal would actually want to waste time on this lunatic!

He sounds like that Freudian case study, that hysterical woman who wanted to convert all the Muslims to Christianity and then claimed that Clinton was gay... (I can't remember her name: Paula Zahn? Whatever, all far-right wing blonds look the same to me).

I'm sorry we missed "all of his apologies" about the hateful posts... If he was really sorry, wouldn't he stop doing it?

Judging from the list of guests from the radio program in the past, who listens to this stuff? Can they broadcast a signal outside of the trailer park? I can imagine 30 strings with cans on the end running to the other mobile homes...

Make no mistake about it! What do I mean? Jerome Corsi doesn't want Obama to president for ONE REASON ONLY- RACE!! He cannot stand to see a black man be president. You see, the thing is that he cannot say I don't want a black man to be president. He has to find other pseudo reasons- he might be moslem? or maybe a drug dealer?.. Be not deceived, his motive is RACIAL only!!

To put this matter in perspective, we must remember that the young Bill Clinton during his 1st run was comparatively linked to women and drug usage, and accused of having no foreign policy experience. But, unlike Obama, the so-called '1st black president' was not framed as a 'pimp' or 'drug dealer' or an 'empty suit'. Today's rhetoric coming from the right is not only taking on a far harsher tone, but it is buoyed by the republican's awareness of an unsettled racial anomosity which still bubbles right below the surface here in America. In other words, this means that the 'republicans as a whole understand that 'race' is a powerful motivator for some voters, including many within their base, and they are willing to employ it, if it will assist them in keeping the Whitehouse.

Here, 'racism' is that factor which keeps those pseudo reasons, you cite, alive and kicking; as those who buy-in to such things, may believe they are true simply because of their overall opinion of blacks as a whole, is negative. Thus: blacks are bad, Obama is black; therefore, Obama is bad.
Republicans, then, simply inserts an allegation and lets it work its wickedness.

Aside from morally and ethically, it is the associations he has with some in the main stream republican party who are using his information as ammno against Obama. He is using reguritated data in which he cites in some case himself as a point of authority, it has little to do with what other wrongs he's done, as many rationalize Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck, Malkin and others to the degree that their 'evolved' racial positions are status quo. The principles of the 1957 Southern Manifesto organized by former judge and US senator (GA) Richard Russell never disappeared it merely melded into Nixon's Southern Strategy and now into the nonsensical 'American exceptionalism' of a Rush Limbaugh.

The 'average' Joe or Jane is lulled to believe that racism is some dinosaur that is the paranoid fantasy of whinny non-whites, as these neo-racism continue to refine the same ole rhetoric from its inflammatory origins to a mixture of patriotism and nationalism. In other words, they seek to take ownership of being a 'good American' while stuffing its center with ole style bigotry and hate.
