WSJ:

Under fire for being a technophobe, John McCain will unveil a technology agenda that bundles previously announced pro-business proposals with continued support for a hands-off approach to regulation.

The plan, dubbed "John McCain and American Innovation," is set to be released Thursday on the Republican presidential candidate's campaign Web site. It will call for a 10% tax credit on wages paid to all research-and-development employees. At the same time, it will reiterate Sen. McCain's opposition to Internet taxes and new laws guaranteeing net neutrality, the idea that Internet providers must treat all legal Internet traffic equally.

The goal of the plan, said McCain spokesman Taylor Griffin, is to create "good, high-paying, innovation-oriented 21st-century jobs."

Technology policy has not been a front-burner issue for either Sen. McCain or his Democratic rival, Sen. Barack Obama. However, it has become more critical for the McCain campaign in recent weeks, as perceptions grow -- encouraged by Democrats -- that Sen. McCain is less than tech-savvy.

Please, Jim Lehrer. Please ask him about technology (esp. web-based) in the first debate.

A man who cannot learn "to get online by myself" has no right fronting a tech plan.

Boy, I sure hope someone asks him the details of this new plan during the debates. He has no idea what his campaign is talking about. He will stand up there like a deer in the headlights.

Once upon a time Flip Flop was opposed to torture, he could well be persuaded to to change his mind on any topic in the future, his word is not worth a plugged nickel, the man cannot be trusted.

The goal of the plan, said McCain spokesman Taylor Griffin, is to create "good, high-paying, innovation-oriented 21st-century jobs."

And after getting this implemented, he will have the jobs outsourced to India or somewhere else.

The internet has been around since the early 1990's when McCain was in his 50's.....................

Some almost 20 years later, McCain is JUST learning where the on/off switch on his computer is.

McCain (a man who CONSISTENTLY graduated at the bottom of his class) now wants us to be impressed that he (oops his wife) has enough money to HIRE someone to try to give him the APPEARENCE of some credibility in the technology arena?

McCain knows NOTHING about the economy, NOTHING about foreign relations and now he wants us to believe that he knows something about technology?................ WE ARE NOT THAT EASILY FOOLED.

Yeah pretty sad that this dufus thinks he can deliver a tech policy when he's totally ignorant concerning the internet.

He was presented with a new Imac and asked where he had to put the coins in to start it.
