Obama Reaches 2 Million Donors

Barack Obama's campaign has been encouraging supporters to "make history" by helping the campaign pass the 2,000,000 donor mark. Today they reached their goal:

Today we achieved something amazing -- 2,000,000 donors owning a piece of this campaign.

In the face of John McCain's low road tactics, it's more important than ever to keep our movement growing and show the power of millions of grassroots supporters coming together to work for change.

Thank you for all you have done to build this movement.

As campaign manager David Plouffe said in an earlier fundraising email, "Two million donors is an incredible number -- a number that was previously unimaginable for presidential campaigns. And it's a number this campaign never dreamed we could reach before the convention."

I completely agree! No one has EVER run a campaign as smooth, organized, and effective as Barack Obama and yet John McCain is praised for his ineptness and complete and utter disarray. No campaign shake-ups, hardly any mistakes, and yet the GOP and MSM try to pick apart his every move as if they have something to compare it to that's equally as good.

This is the first campaign I've ever paid such attention to. And he's really impressed me. I was talking to somebody and I was playing that game of "If he were a...." If a politician were a dancer - he'd be Fred Astaire, pure grace. If he were a baseball player, he'd be pitcher Mariano Rivera, calm and focused. He's just a great candidate.

And I know what you mean abut the picking apart and comparing.The GOP does it because their strategy seems to be to keep us from looking too closely at McCain's flaws so they try to distract us with manufactured flaws in Obama. And the MSM does it because they have ratings to get. It does get tiresome though, doesn't it?

And "Mariano" Obama just pitched his 2 millionth strike!
