John McCain met with billionaire oil man T. Boone Pickens in Aspen Friday morning to discuss Pickens' plan for energy independence. The Texan has been running a national television ad campaign to publicize his ideas for weaning the country off of foreign oil.

After he emerged from the meeting, a reporter asked McCain his reaction to the new Jerome Corsi book, "Obama Nation."

"Gotta keep your sense of humor," McCain responded, before his aides shuttled reporters away.

PHEONIX ARIZONA - The McCain campaign is seeking a restraining order against a currently unidenfied 5'7" white haired man who they claim has been almost contiuously undermining their campaign's progress. In the legal document they have cited several occasions on which for reasons yet unknown, when their candidate was scheduled to speak, the unidentified man would appear and would be able to temporarily monopolize media attention, after which he would deliver a series of non-sequitur ramblings or complete misstatement of widely accepted facts. So far authorities have been unable to serve the unidentified man as he usually escapes with the aid of accomplices, who shield him from any onlookers. A McCain campaign manager wishing to remain anonymous stated: "This man in no way speaks for the McCain campaign. We don't know how long the campaign can survive this, and we have to do something to put a stop to it, but he keeps dissapearing almost as fast as he make these ludicrous statements­."

Reports that the man may be getting assistance from an accomplice with a private jet remain unsubstansiated.

Does McCain think he will laugh his way to the white house. It's as though he is trampling on the most prestigious, powerful and sought after seat in the world. This I take personally, because the message he is sending to those of us who cast our vote for Senator Obama in the primaries is that we too are a joke. Now, this I take serious Senator McCain. We the American people who are losing our homes, purchasing gas and food at record numbers, wanting withdrawal of our troops from Iraq, lacking healthcare coverage, dealing with global warming, declining educational system ARE NO JOKE. A LONG time ago I admired Senator Mc'C as a brave man and as a person who was honorable.

That time is gone.

However, there seems to be a trend here to just make fun of him and not see the very real danger that may be lurking there. There have been passing references to PTSS, geriatric anomolies, a long standing vicious and inappropriate anger problem, and his apparent disdain for women. Add to that his proclivity for inappropriate "jokes", body language toward his wife, and other signs, both obvious and insidious, and you have man very capable of totally irrational behavior and decision making patterns.

He also appears to have both long and short term memory problems and a frequent inability to articulate what he wants to say.

This is not a combination I want to see with access to the nuclear codes, and it doesn't matter which party he represents. We need to stop joking around and get really REALLY serious about his candidacy.

In my opinion, he heard the question correctly, responded with a tasteless attempt at humor and then, realizing he sounded out like an idiot, tried to explain it away by saying he had not heard. My point was that very few people blurb out tasteless comments when they do not hear something - they either question what was said or make a noncommittal nod or comment.

So suddenly, the man who has the worst delivery and nastiest jokes, lamely told, has a sense of humor?!
There is nothing funny about slander, nothing honorable about lying, and nothing about the base, off-point campaign that McCain has been engaging in that leads me to believe that he can protect this country.
I always said that there was no where to go but "up" after Bush, but I believe McCain is proving me wrong.
