The pastor who officiated Jenna Bush's wedding in May recently criticized John McCain for his comments at a biker rally earlier this month. ABC has the story.

"Well, I don't know a lot about John McCain's family history, I do know, however, that as recently as last week I think it was, the Senator made a comment in South Dakota regarding his wife entering some Buffalo Chips contest which is this topless deal and if she were to enter she would probably win it and my personal opinion and based on my understanding of the Christian faith, that's not not, N-O-T, not the type of expression that a presidential candidate, or anyone for that matter who is a follower of the Christian faith, ought to make," said the Rev. Kirbyjon Caldwell. "I don't know if that is a perfect case in point, but it surely does help to juxtapose the DNA of Senator Obama, if you would, versus the DNA of Senator McCain."

Caldwell, a close personal friend of President Bush, is the senior pastor at Windsor Village United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. Caldwell made his comments on a conference call with reporters sponsored by the Matthew 25 Network, a liberal Christian Group. Matthew 25 is planning to air a pro-Obama ad on Saturday during the Rick Warren forum with Obama and McCain. The ad will air on CNN and possibly MSNBC, according to the group's spokesperson.

IT'S TIME TO ASK SOME "TOUGH ETHICAL" QUESTIONS TO JOHN McCAIN!

Send an email to Pastor Rick Warren who is Hosting the "Faith Forum Tomorrow Night " and Ask Him to Please Ask John McCain about his Values, Infidelity, and The Dishonest Campaign his is running! We need to expose McCain for the Fraud that he is!

Since the MSM won’t ask tough questions about "Adultery maybe Rick Warren will!

I have to agree wtih Reine here. Though McCain is an a**hole extraordinaire, at least he showed some humor here. Chill out!

In order to "chill out" or have a "sense of humor" on this one, you'd also have to wink at the conservative Christian Republicans and ask them to choke down an "OK" on double-standards. I can't even imagine Ronald Reagan, while running for the office of President of the United States, doing something as stupid as offering his wife up for public exhibition in a wet-T shirt contest. Because Reagan had dignity, class, common sense, standards and values. And McCain?

Ronald Reagan was no saint and he knew, after making a mistake, it was best to apologize. The American public proved we can handle the truth and know how to accept a sincere apology. Question is, can McCain apologize for (at best) a dismal failure of moral sensitivity? And an even better question is, can the religious conservatives who support McCain hold their man accountable for "conduct unbecoming" after they said McCain shares their values?

McCain has a sense of humor & is not always politically correct & that's what I like about him.

Ever notice how McCain, after he makes some "serious"soundbite about Barack ("he'd rather lose a war in order to win an election"), he immediately turns away,t hen grins? He comes off all solemn and serious and, thinking he's off camera, follows up with a "hee hee." It's like he's congratulating himself: "I said it right without flubbing it and it'll make Obama look bad. You go, boy!" Of course, he's just following george "heh heh" bush.

McCain says his wife should enter a topless contest and he has a sense of humor?

Now try to imagine Obama saying the exact same thing and what we'd be hearing from the likes of you...or, hey what if he wasn't wearing an American flag label pin when he said it?

Would you also say he was just being funny?

I doubt it.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 05:21 PM on 08/15/2008

Great answer! Took the words right out of my head. These same people who think McCain has a 'sense of humor' are the same ones who'd be screaming for Obama's head on a platter for his 'lack of class'/'ghetto-ness' if he said the same thing. Thing is, Obama has a lot more class than that, as does his wife. Obama has too much respect for his intelligent, beautiful wife than to even suggest that to her, and I'm sure she has enough guts to smack him upside the head if he ever did. If anyone belongs in the White House, it's NOT McCain and his creepy Barbie wife.

Pastor Caldwell's opinion about the candidates is as relevant as pastor Wright's opinion.

Would you have reported Caldwell's opinion if he stood behind McCain? I doubt it.

Although I will most probably vote Obama in November I am getting more and more appalled by so-called liberal media becoming a mirror of FOX-noise.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 04:58 PM on 08/15/2008

I wasn't aware that the "so-called liberal media" was going to be on the GE ticket in November!

Anyone who will choose who they will vote for based on the media's opinion needs to get their heads on straight!

How about figuring out for yourself, among the mess called the media (liberal or conservative), where a candidate stands and what is the truth and what is lies. And THEN make you decision based on what you have found out for yourself.

There is something sleazy about jmac, but what gets me most is the hypocrisy. His campaign keeps pushing the lies about O's faith when jmac committed adultery repeatedly. Then he divorces his wife after she is in a terrible accident and marries the adulterous he fooled around with. How can anyone have the gall to question O's faith and values when they're trying to put mcsleaze in the WH?

Sean Hannity said it was ok for McCain to be an adulterer because he was a POW for 5 1/2 years and was beaten. So, according to Hannity, that makes McCain's case different from John Edwards'. (True story)

McCain is on record calling his wife a 'c*nt' in front of the press, and has made jokes about rape multiple times. Now he's offering up his wife to join a topless contest in front of drunk bikers. When you see how badly he treats his wife, and how badly he treated his first wife, it's pretty easy to conclude McCain's character is extremely poor.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 04:48 PM on 08/15/2008

Tell me KID, did you hear these statements since it is on record? Or did you read from someone, who heard from someone, who said they heard from someone , who said Obama said he heard from someone that Keith Olberman said to Obama while on a date, that McCain said these things.

I think I read they went out in the desert or something and married women from some other tribe. No explanation how there could be other tribes if adam and eve were the first couple on earth.

I'm thinking the adam and eve thing represents the beginning of a new (and blessed) tribe which became the Hebrews or Israelite or whatever they called themselves back then.

also, is there an explanation of how adam learned a language? I forget.

Adam and Eve had a lot more children, the answer is in the bible.

(Genesis 5:4) The days of Adam after he fathered Seth were 800 years; and he had other sons and daughters.

Adams sons and daughters married each other. It seems strange to us now, but back in the day thats how they did it.

Genesis 5: 3 - 5

3)And Adam lived 130 years and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image and called his name Seth.

4)and the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were 800 years and he begat sons and daughters.

5)and all the day that Adam lived were 930 years, and he died.

It is similar to another question, "where did Cain get his wife?"

The Bible is clear. The Bible states in very plain and simple language at Genesis 5:4 that "...he (Adam) became father to sons and daughters." Notice the plural "sons" and "daughters." Since Adam lived for 930 years, he reasonably could have fathered many, many children. His sons, including Cain, would have married their sisters, or nieces. This would sound repulsive to us today, but consider the circumstances back then. It would have been proper at that time, since the Earth's population was relatively sparse, and the human race was to be proliferated according to God's purpose. It was only later that God made the restriction not to marry one's own sister or brother.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 06:04 PM on 08/15/2008

Actually if you want to recite a myth, you should know the myth accurately.
Adam & Eve not only had 2 sons, they had MANY more children. Sons & daughters. And yes there was sister-brother sex.
