How big a deal is today's veepstakes comment from Sen. Joe Biden that "I'm not the guy"?
A figure familiar with Biden's thinking says the remark is hardly consequential.
"That is a comment that he typically gives for people who ask about [the vice presidency]," the source said, adding that it has been the senator's stock answer to the question for weeks now.
In other words, let the speculation continue.

As a conservative, I like Bidden, I think he could help sink Obama. People don't like em..esp not as a part of "the new politics". It would be like admitting it Obama's whole line was nothing but PR and BS.

Of all the "official" names that have been floated, Biden probably makes the most sense. Remember - the VP candidate is traditionally the pit bull, the one sent out to attack. Biden certainly has that in his corner. But still, saying that he is the best of that bunch is like saying herpes is better than syphilis. At least it will mostly get him away from being able to vote on issues like the bankruptcy bill or anything related to the banking industry.
Still not planning to vote either Dem or Repug. I'm not playing the "only game in town" crap anymore.
Recently I've said he needs Hillary to win. Now maybe that's true, but Biden is my first pick and has been for months. Then when I heard he voted for that invasion I thought, Oh no he can't be. But I've had time to think and when they attack him for that vote, he will hold up the lies he was presented to make his decision, and turn this back around into an indictment of Bush and his biggest supporter John McSame.
Maybe that will work for Biden; it never worked for Hillary.

I would not count out a governor for VP and at the same time Obama just may name some members of his cabinet to dismiss any fears as to his foreign credentials. To choose Biden would almost be conceding experience, when Biden or Clark would be a great Secretary of State. As it was when Bill ran it is true today - IT IS THE ECONOMY STUPID!
Obama seems more inline with a Sebelius/Kaine who are governors of red states. They would also true up his desire to change Washington. Then he could dispatch Biden/Clark as attack dogs.
Pre-naming more experienced people to fill his cabinet sounds eerily like GWB. Voters should know by now that: It's The President, Stupid!
Did not McCain state that he would have Cheny in his cabinet? I don't see it as far fetch to state that Biden has agreed, WHEN ELECTED, to serve as Secretary of State. And as to its the president, stupid - president is not capitalized unless it has the persons' name behind it...stupid!
