Bill Clinton Praises McCain On Energy

NY Times:

Former President Bill Clinton on Monday praised Senator Barack Obama's energy policy at the opening of the National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas.

But Mr. Clinton also lauded Mr. Obama's rival, Senator John McCain, and said that either candidate would be progressive on the issue of climate change.

"Obviously, I favor Senator Obama's energy positions, and Democrats have been by and large the more forward-leaning actors," Mr. Clinton said. "But John McCain has the best record of any Republican running for president on the energy issue and on climate change." He added, "I'm very encouraged about where the presidential rhetoric is in this campaign."

Democrats think they can dictate Obama and McCain to the electorate. Well you can not. The roe vs wade hostage by male democrats threat will not work, it will only succeeded to repulse us even further. I do not want Obama and McCain being proggressive on green energy has made it that much easier for me to vote for him. About the war, I do not consider him a neo-con, I think he will find some way to fix up the quagmire. Drilling in my opinion, is an imperative ecconomic, security and global resource issue. Obama is too, how can I say, not what I'm looking for. Hillary would of been reeal sweet though. I guess like the hypocrite Michael Moore said, the Dems sure know how to mess it up. NY is single digits from going red and I'm going to be real happy watching it get lower and lower. Maybe Obama should of helped Illinoi more before scaring us all into the idea of his changing America. Obama America rocks compared to ALOT of other places. Ooooh and alot of people are going to be real mad when McCain gets to choose the judges. Oh well, maybe next time, but I doubt it......

Well, this broke the straw for me. Bill Clinton would have never praised McCain unless he had an agreement with his wife to do so. They both want Obama to lose so Hillary can run again in 4 years. I thought that Hillary bashers were paranoid about her intentions and also had reservations about all the nasty comments about Hillary and thought people were coming down too hard on her. Not any more. The last thing Obama needs, if he becomes president, is Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton hanging around the White House. I supported Hillary as a VP choice but now she should be relegated to overseeing cleaning out the cages at a zoo. Bill Clinton is a class A Pr*ck.

Like it or not McCain is interested in green energy. He also wants to drill, which many people, including some democrats, think is a brilliant idea.

How many times are the Clintons going to endorse McCain before we kick them to the side of the road?

With the Clinton's speaking at the convention, McCain doesn't need to campaign. Hillary will betray Obama, just like Bill. They can't help themselves. They are just like Republicans, if you're nice to them, they hurt you more.

This does not apply to the rest of us, since we are all citizens of the U.S. and entitled to our own conflicted opinions, but Bill as a former President, and a leader among the Deomcratic Party, you need to decide if you are WITH US or AGAINST US in this race. Otherwise we may eventually make the decision for you.
