Chris Kattan And Wife Split After 8 Weeks Of Marriage

No joke: After just eight weeks of marriage, Saturday Night Live alum Chris Kattan and his wife, model Sunshine Tutt, have split.

"Separated for the moment. No plans for divorce at this time," his rep tells Usmagazine.com.

Kattan, 37, and Tutt, 31 -- who began dating in 2005 after meeting at a birthday party -- tied the knot this past June 28 in Yosemite Valley, Calif.

He popped the question at Tutt's grandmother's home in Gainesville, Texas, on Christmas Eve 2006. He gift wrapped the ring in a present.

My first thought was they split up as soon as they realized they weren't getting any publicity mileage out of the deal. I never heard of her and Kattan sank like a stone after he left Saturday Night Live. Did anyone actually see that dreadful movie he made?

A different take, how many had the thought that they should have left after 8 weeks? I did. Instead, I stayed and endured a 4 year fiasco of a 1st marriage. I wish I'd had the strength to say I made a mistake.
