Obama needs Hillary, that farce with Rick Warren was not a good showing for him and many democrats are starting to believe he cant close the deal. He needs someone ruthless like Hillary and Bill too. Obama is very smart, if he wants to win, he will take Hillary -does she want the job is the question.

Hillary doesn't want it, To be tied to Barry ruins her chance at another race for the white house. She would be happier in the Senate for the next 4 yrs than being a "Yes Man".

It's a SLAM DUNK! At this point - Obama needs someone who is Catholic and who can easily carry Pennsylvania and Ohio - - and have solid leadership qualities and intelligence:

With Senator Biden - he gets the above plus the best Foreign Policy expert who can also be the best Attack Dog.

With General Wes Clark - he gets the above plus a former 4 Star GENERAL who knows more than
Senator McCain will ever know about military leadership.

With Governor Sebelius - he gets a very intelligent woman GOVERNOR who can attract INDEPENDENTS and MODERATE REPUBLICANS.

Obama can WIN in NOVEMBER with any one of the above VP candidates.

I believe Senator Bayh and Governor Kaine are wonderful individuals but they can't carry Obama to VICTORY in November.

Senator Jack Reed of Rhode Island is Catholic, military, experienced, intelligent, personable, fit to be president.

Honestly, if Biden says it's not him and his PR person says that's not necessarily true...it's probably not him.

Too bad it's not Biden. If you're looking for foreign policy cred, he's the one, especially with Russia acting out.

"I'm not the guy." Meaning, perhaps, that he's not the candidate for President of the United States (i.e., the one to whom reporters should be paying attention.) There. I translated it for you. Invoice to follow. (Seriously, do I have to do ALL your thinking for you?)

My understanding is the VP has been picked, but not notified yet. Has anyone heard differently?

You either support Obama or you don't. You either trust his judgment, or you don't.

This is not about our preferences, Obama has to work with this person, and his vision is clear on what he wants for America.

So, relax!

Marked as favorite -- you are absolutely correct! We either trust his judgment (on more issues than this one!) or we don't. THANK YOU.

I hope people are this level-headed should he pick Clinton.

Hello? I wasn't questioning trust or not. You sound like the typical guy who says to relax before shooting a wad in the wrong place. What I am saying is that if Obama picks a really square or boring veep, he will LOSE millions of votes from those of us that through groundswell got him this nomin. He doesn't owe me anything.

I believe it's going to be Kathleen Sebelius. She's an Ohio native and her father is a former govenor of Ohio. I can't see any possible way that McCain can garner enough electoral votes to win the election if he loses both Pennsylvania and Ohio. McCain would have to win NV, CO, MT, ND, SD, IA, MO, IN, MI, VA, NC and FL in order to defeat Obama if he wins PA and OH. Does anyone think McCain can defeat Obama in ALL of those states? I think Obama can win the electoral vote no matter who his running mate is, and that Kathleen Sebelius is his best running mate from both a political and compitability perspective.

Not likely. She brings nothing to the ticket. Besides could you imagine the images.... older white haired white woman and a younger black man?? Never going to happen. It's either Biden or Clinton.

I disagree with the analysis so far.

Forget pros/cons/nitpicking about states or issue position.

Obama needs to announce somebody exciting and quick-witted that is truly able to fulminate and energize "the middle" AWAY from McCain.

Who would that be?

Say it ain't so, Joe!
