Keith Olbermann On McCain's War With NBC: Grow Up (VIDEO)

On MSNBC's "Countdown" last night, Keith Olbermann tore into John McCain for complaining about NBC election coverage -- and for his attacks on Barack Obama. Watch:

What's the old saw? Never get into an argument with people who buy ink by the barrel? Is there an electronic equivalent?

I'm not even sure you can't beat a media organization. But if you're a presidential candidate and you come after it with a craven and silly argument - and you follow a path previously tried by a now ex-presidential candidate - you've probably been poorly advised.

Thus tonight, between Senator McCain's manager's broadside against us, and his creative but tinny-sounding attacks on Senator Obama today at the VFW Convention, I've got a Special Comment planned.

Loki44, I will love to see KO debate Bill O and/or Rush lImbaugh and even mama's boy Sean Hannity. Keith will devastate each one of them because Keith will have proof of what he is talking about, contrary to what those three talking head does. The three of them loves to talk about patriotism, yet, none of them have EVER served in our Armed Forces and will not allow their children to do so.

Keith has restored some of my faith in the cable news talking heads. He actually analyzes the issues by doing the hard work to do the research and sift through the facts. Yeah, it's hard work. (Boy, do I miss Tim Russert) I am sick of these hosts on these major cable shows who think that they are doing a good job by having guests who represent the 2 sides. Or these hosts play the devil advocates role just so there can be an 'argument'. Thanks for doing the hard work, Keith! Keep stepping up your game.

Keith is exactly what he is supposed to be; A cheer leader for the left. But he's even a little more than that. He doesn't just throw bombs, he throws Smart Bombs. Well Researched Bombs. Timely Bombs. That having been said, as has been noted, the loss of Tim Russert is greatly felt. He was the driving force behind a resurgent media group. No MSM organization is perfect, far from it, but the quest of Russert was a heartfelt and honorable attempt. He is sorely missed.

What I love most about Olberman is his journalistic objectivity in reporting the news. That's the way I like my TV journalists, you have no idea where they lean politically.

And if you really believe the sentence above you really are drinking the MSNBC Kool Aid. C'mon Olberman, we would have a lot more respect for you if you would just tell your audience your a flaming liberal and that your comments will come from a liberal perspective. I always thought I was a bit right of center but after 911 and all of the missed opportunities, the lies the outright selling of America to the highest bidder...o­r no bidder in the case of Blackwater and Haliburton and then the disgustingly hollow way everything gets wrapped in a flag and presented to us as "Patriotic" especially the whole giving up our freedom and rights so we can be safe scam....I guess I am now a Liberal...­if that the label you want to slap on me for seeing things with open eyes so be it. Here's a thought...­for more than 40 years New York City hasnt been able to gather up the will to build a direct rail line to JFK...in less than 5 years the Chinese build brand new world class airport with a baggage system that actually works.(you hear that Heathrow)

The President is not a god he is the employee of the American People and if one of those people want to give him advice, it is well within their perogative. In fact it should be encouraged.

I am tired of this war hero stuff. Being shot down and captured by the enemy does not qualify anyone for anything but the thanks of a greatful nation for their service. There are a lot of War Heros alive today that have not capitalized upon the service in war.

There are war heros coming hime from Iraq now that have to fight for benifits and medical treatment. McCain is not as kind toward those heros as he expects others to be toward him.

Keith is the best! Instead of repeating the short marketing messages of what is told to journalists, Keith actually analyzes the issues. He called McCain out! Too many hosts are afraid of being criticized by the "RIGHT". So, most of these 'moderators' tend to let guests say what they want or the moderators play 'devil's advocate role to imply that there are 2 sides to the issues. It has been a strategy that has kept keep this country down and the media in check. REALITY CHECK::: Sometimes there are more than 2 sides to the issue.
