Keith Olbermann On McCain's War With NBC: Grow Up (VIDEO)

On MSNBC's "Countdown" last night, Keith Olbermann tore into John McCain for complaining about NBC election coverage -- and for his attacks on Barack Obama. Watch:

I'm not even sure you can't beat a media organization. But if you're a presidential candidate and you come after it with a craven and silly argument - and you follow a path previously tried by a now ex-presidential candidate - you've probably been poorly advised.

Thus tonight, between Senator McCain's manager's broadside against us, and his creative but tinny-sounding attacks on Senator Obama today at the VFW Convention, I've got a Special Comment planned.

I am tired of people calling KO shrill and self righteous. It's way past time someone on the progressive side became shrill. We need voices like KO out there calling the Republicans out, if only so the viewers who have had it with the "so-called liberal media" can keep their sanity. I think it's time for people to demand more KO's. We need to hear progressive voices, which account for at least half of this country if not more, on our television sets. But whenever there is space to fill on TV, what do the media do? fill it with the likes of Glenn Beck or a journalist, whose job is to be balanced. Thank you Keith Olbermann for not following suit with the main stream media. McCain is given a free ride everywhere but on your show. You speak the frustrations that many of us feel. You have the courage to go out on a limb with bringing some of the lopsided truth into the light. John McCain is a joke, you know it and millions of voters know it. He is such a liar.
