Lieberman

Politico.com:

Top aides to Joseph Lieberman have reached out to former staffers in recent days with "substantive questions" about the issue areas they focused on while working for the Connecticut senator, according to a source close to Lieberman.

Clarine Nardi Riddle, Lieberman's Chief of Staff, and Sherry Brown, a top district aide and his 2006 campaign manager, are working the phones and sending emails in an apparent attempt to compile a portfolio for the former Democratic vice-presidential nominee.

Without saying defnitively that the information-gathering was being done to share with McCain's campaign, this source said "it would be unusual if not in the context of being vetted."

Does Libermann not look like Dr. Smith (that pathetic little character) from LOST IN SPACE series in the 70's? He gives me the creeps.

Barack uses a historical site to announce VP choice.

Barack uses Historical DAY (MLK- I have a Dream speech) to give a historical UNIFIED speech.

McGoober uses a day recognized as a major US disaster, hundreds of people died, thousands displaced and cities were literally wiped off the map..

There is a BIG difference in these two candidates.. A BIG Difference..

Excellent choice. Now L.ieberman can explore the rarified air of losing on two tickets in two parties.

Palease pick Lieberman!!

And if the Obama campaign were smart they'd ask Lieberman about his Israeli citizenship during a debate. Just ask him if he has a dual citizenship, that's all. Americans could then make up their mind whether they want a dual citizen to be in charge of America's national security.

Can't wait to see them on the stage together. Old and older.

A Lieberman - Mccain ticket is laughable. South Park could have a field day with that scenario. LOL

Jon Stewart is missing out of a ton of good "stuff" this week. I was especially looking forward to his cone of silence take. LOL

Don't assume a McCain Lieberman ticket is a "loser". There are more "americans" than most realize that just LOVE the sound of WAR DRUMS and its estimated that over 15% of Americans refuse to accept the idea of a "black" President....I'm getting a sick feeling that this "horror" of the last 7+ years..is going to continue...for four more...or until we really do see "mushroom clouds" on the horizon.

And AIPAC will run the country. Say goodbye to health care, women's rights, fiscal responsibility.

The only thing McCain is trying to do by selecting Lieberman is to garner the jewish voters. This, however, may well backfir. The independants will run en masse to Obama. Pick Lieberman, please..

I hope Lieberman is the choice - PLEASE!

Oy!

I believe they have to select someone shorter than McCain.
That eliminates a lot of people, but Jon Stewart might still
meet the height requirement, and they are buddies, sort of.

Obviously, John + Jon would be a formidable pair.

Otherwise, Lieberman & Lindsey Graham are both pretty short, no?

HE RAN FOR VP

HOW MUCH MORE CRAP CAN THEY FIND ON HIM?

Oh, that's right....it's that little problem of being an Agent for the Israelis...

Ahhhhhhh - that COULD be a little problem there...treason.

How about the story of how he ran against Lamont in CT.
