Cindy McCain Has Another Forgotten Half-Sister

When Cindy McCain talks about growing up, she usually refers to herself as an "only child" -- a phrase that ignores the existence of her half sisters.

"It's terribly painful," Kathleen Hensley Portalski said yesterday. "It is as if she is the 'real' daughter. I am also a real daughter."

Portalski and McCain are both children of the late Jim Hensley, the Arizona businessman who founded one of the largest beer distributorships in the nation. Kathleen, 65, is the product of Hensley's first marriage in the 1930s to Mary Jeanne Parks. Hensley divorced Parks for Marguerite "Smitty" Johnson, whom he met at a West Virginia hospital in World War II and married in 1945. Cindy was born nine years later.

But there's more: Cindy McCain has another half sister. Before her marriage to Hensley, Johnson had a daughter, Dixie Burd, by a previous relationship. Burd, who is much older than Cindy, could not be reached for comment.

Oh this is great, the McCain closet is opening slowly. Wonder why this has never been mentions by Cindy McCain. Did she think this would stay buried? It is amazing the McCain family is what they call anti Abortion, family first, but they ignore two sisters? This really makes one wonder what else lies in the McCain skeleton closet?

Life begins at conception, but children from first marriages are disposable - I guess according to McCain and his wife. I wonder how John's oldest three children like being cut out of the family in Megan McCain's book about her father? I read somewhere that McCain's oldest biological daughter (first marriage) now lives in Canada - and considers herself to be a democrat.

What a frce Cindy mcCain is. While she may have been raised as an only child, to not acknowledge the fact that she has two stepsibling is contemptable. That golden halo she pretends to wear gets more tarnished every day! To not share some of the wealth that thier father left her is a demonstration of a person who is morally bankrupt. Sure, but you won't hear Barack telling fabrications that he is the only child, etc... That is the point, in case you missed it, not the fact that their are complicated family trees.

That all said, the fact that a "father" would move to a new relationship and then pretty much leave the first child on the fringe most of the time says a lot about his character. Don't forget that Cruella was closely raised by the man, so she is most likely of the same cloth, which says a lot about McCant's (the candidate) character...

Obama? On the up and up and not closely raised by his father, but by some folks with very decent character.

Cindy stays very close to John when they enter and event. She does not shake hands nor does she hug anyone. She just walks a few steps behind him, and she rarely says anything. Ofcourse, we don't see the whole coverage, but someone may have the enthusiatic handshaker on tape. I will believe it when I see it. I wonder if she really had a too enthusiastic handshaker????

Secondly, Edwards is not holding a public office in any state not with the federal government. Secondly he is not on any ticket for VP or anything else. My only contention on the Edwards thing is If you want to make a big deal out of Edwards, you also need to put McCains afair and wedding license into the same category. Yes his wedding license, which he obtained while still married to his first wife, that is called bigomy, and out right lying. To obtain a marriage license you must first be divorced which he was not!
