Cindy McCain Mother Teresa Story Fabricated

Gilding the lily is nothing new to politics. From the 1840s when William Henry Harrison claimed to have been born in a log cabin (it was actually a Virginia plantation) to Ronald Reagan's reminiscing about flying over Germany in World War II (he did, but only in a movie), politicians have taken perfectly good stories and embellished them.

The latest embellishments come from the McCain camp. Cindy McCain has repeatedly referred to herself as an "only child." This week came news that she actually has two half sisters, although apparently she had very little contact with them.

The McCain campaign had also put out the story that Mother Teresa "convinced" Cindy to bring home two orphans from Bangladesh in 1991.

Mrs. McCain, it turns out, never met Mother Teresa. (Once contacted by the Monitor, the campaign revised the story on its website.)

According to Congressman John Lewis, he wasn't exactly truthful when he indicated that Lewis is someone he would 'consult'. He was only pandering like he did when he apologized for his initial vote against the Martin Luther King holiday - after he realized his opponent was going to be an African-American. He's such a phony.

Me, too! It's more like an injury you would get from hubby taking wrist and giving it a good twist to get your attention when you are not being a good enough girl. I know whereof I speak on this issue. I also know how often the victim lies to protect the abuser. How many bruises, black eyes, "sprains," etc. are in Cindy McCain's medical history? A guy who will call his wife vile names usually does not stop there.

At the risk of repeating myself, no one cares about the cookie thing, it's the pattern of lies that is disturbing. Here is a woman that would lie about anything and everything, if she was an ordinary person she would have been sent to prison for stealing drugs and lying about it. But alas, it is very hard to convict a rich person and send them to jail.

So far, Cindy has lied repeatedly about being an only child, she plagiarized cookie recipes on two separate occasions, she lied about meeting Mother Theresa, and of course, she stole drugs from a children's charity. I can see why a member of the Keating Five would find her attractive.

Worse than that -- on the CNN profile of McCain, John King asked them about the affair and John's abandonment of his first family and injured wife -- Cindy brushed the question aside and said "That was 30 years ago and he had been separate for years -- they had been separated for 6 1/2 years" -- in other words she counted John's time is captivity, during which Carol McCain stood by him and fought zealously for his and all POWs' release even after her crippling and devastating car accident ( an accident she hid from john to save him the stress while in prison), as a marital "separation". In addition -- it AGAIN is a lie. John and Cindy McCain were having their affair for 9 months during which he was still living with Carol McCain and their children (and hot pants Cindy was not the only affair he had after his return). The truth is contained in McCain's divorce papers (which CNN put on the air). What is wrong with these people?! More importantly -- what is wrong with these so-called values voters who would bvote to put compulsive liars like this in the White House. Haven't we had a liar in there long enough?!

The problem with the McCains is that they are so far out of touch with the modern world and technology, they fail to realize that ANY story one tells these days can be confirmed or REFUTED.
