LOS ANGELES — If the new man looking for love on ABC's "The Bachelor" looks familiar, that's because he was rejected last season on "The Bachelorette."

Jason Mesnick, whose proposal to DeAnna Pappas was spurned during the finale, will search for romance among 25 bachelorettes when the 13th season of the reality series returns in January.

ABC said Wednesday that the 32-year-old single father is looking for a woman who "has a real curiosity about the world, who loves life and can find passion in life's smallest moments." The network is casting for eligible women to vie for Mesnick's attention.

Mesnick lost out in May during the fourth-season "Bachelorette" season finale to professional snowboarder Jesse Csincsak, who's engaged to Pappas. She herself was rejected by previous "Bachelor" Brad Womack during the series' 11th season.

Jason is AWESOME, D helped open his heart again, broke it, but he now knows he's ready... I truly hope he finds what he's looking for, and he's got Seattle-lite's pulling for him and we all hope for the best!

LOL....Arranged marriages in India have a better success rate than "The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette"!

In America, real life behavior becomes more and more bizarre as we start aping the reality shows, which strangely enough, don't mimic reality.

YAY!!! Congrats to Jason! I hope you find true love this time --- you and your son deserve it, and you'll find someone even BETTER than DeAnna!!! (Don't worry; she and Jesse won't even make it to a wedding next month, just wait & see ... :-) )

I am one of many who signed the online petition for Jason to be the next Bachelor, so I'm glad ABC is really listening to its viewers!

These ARE the stupidest shows ever! The sheer desperation of the people is almost sickening.... as is the fact that people actually watch them.

No wonder there are people out there that would actually vote for McCain.

These shows with guys and gals choosing a mate from a group of 25 or more are an insult to everyone.

Only a slack-jawed troglodyte would bother to read this story or care enough to post a comment about it on HuffPo.

Oh, wait....
