Suri Cruise joined mom Katie Holmes at a New York City playground the other day. Surrounded by a partly stunned (hear a confused young boy exclaim, "It's Tom Cruise's mother!) and partly indifferent kids and their caregivers, two-year-old Suri played around in the sandbox, slid down the slide and almost landed on another toddler.

i just give katie snaps for going to a public playground with suri. exposing suri to the same experiences that regular ole kids have is a good thing. i am sure that tomkat could build suri her very own superplayground, but here is katie in the sandbox giving suri at least a taste of how the rest of us live and entertain our kids. unfortunately it will be soon enough that suri realizes that she is indeed NOT a regular ole kid, that she is a celebrity child and subject all the bruhaha that entails. that she is wearing inappropriate playground clothing is really neither here nor there -- at least suri doesn't seem to be under pressure to stay clean!

Must have been having a voyeur moment when I actually clicked on the video link and watched this. Am disgusted with myself and need to take a Silkwood shower for being so nosey.
Couldn't click on STOP quick enough once I saw other parents at the playground all but pushing a camera in Suri's face to get their "shot".
Yes, she's overdressed but so what? We (the public) are going to continuously roast this child and her parents in perpetutity no matter what she wears. It's apparently what we do.

A beautiful child although a bit overdressed for the park. Maybe it's time to leave the little girl alone though. It will be tough enough being raised as a scientologist.
Its getting really creepy the way you're following these people around. The Cruises are not exactly vital persons to the nation. They're hardly even interesting. And here you are showing telephoto shots of a toddler sliding down a slide as though she was some Soviet saboteur caught in the act. Really really creepy.
They sure do seem to spend a lot of time trotting this child around town for all the photographers to see. I wonder what their real intention is? We seem to be getting "happy family" crammed down our throats every time we turn around and it kind of smells like Tom jumping on Oprah's couch -- a little too contrived for my taste.
Suri Cruise is absolutely one of the cutest little girls out there, but does she ever smile? Does she ever have fun? I'm starting to wonder if there's seriously something wrong with this little girl. She just never seems to be fully engaged with anyone, never seems to be enjoying herself. I hope she's okay.
I agree... Suri has a dull look in her eyes. If this is what Scientology does to children, she needs to get out of it. I have never seen animated life or joy in her very pretty little face, and it is pretty sad. Katie doesn't ever look too happy either.

Just one comment. Why doesn't this kid wear shorts or pants when she's jumping on a trampoline or sliding down a slide? What is with the latest craze of movie stars (A. Jolie for example) putting dresses on their little girls all the time? These little girls want to play without their panties showing, for Pete's sake!! It's a bit affected, really, a bit much.
i posted the same thing the other day - what's with the amish looking dresses on this kid? i ran around in shorts all the time when i was her age.

Since Mommy and Daddy Scientologists (clams) are not allowed to play with other people, outside the cult, are baby scientologists (clams) allowed to play with outsiders? Seems like Suri's playing with other children was not encouraged.
