Dan Abrams Delivers His Final "Verdict"

With his show canceled to make room for the increasingly partisan primetime lineup on MSNBC, Dan Abrams delivered his final "Verdict" Thursday night. The host signed off his show in good humor with a visit from fellow canceled MSNBC host Tucker Carlson and a look through the mailbag with letters from fans wishing him well. At the end of the segment, Abrams — who's hosted "The Abrams Report" and "Live with Dan Abrams" on the network, in addition to being the station's GM — warned, "Oh, and by the way, this is the third goodbye show I've done at MSNBC in the past 5 years, so don't count us out entirely."

Rachel Maddow???? I even hate being familiar with her name. Where is Pat Buchanan when you need him most to tell this woman to "shut up!"

This is being replaced by Rachel Maddow? I do not know how to spell her name and even regret knowing what it is. I wish Pat Buchanan would have been on last night to tell her to "shut up" like he did with one her peers awhile ago. I hope she gets cancelled quicker than any other show in MSNBC's history. WFrom now on I will be boycotting MSNBC permanently.

I like Rachel Madow. I was very impressed by her intellegent and quick remarks since the first time I saw her on MSNBC. She deserves a spot of her own with such a star quality. Yet, I like Dan Abrams too. He offers a different style to political commentary, which makes his show standing out from other MSMBC political shows, which I like in general. I agree with other posters that MSNBC should keep Verdict.

I liked Dan's shows particularily his "Bush League Justice" segments but the cartoon graphics the show had just didn' t fit the program. There were times were some of his topics were lame but I still liked it.

I am excited to see what Rachel would bring to MSNBC. I always liked her when she did Keith's show and I'm sure she would do an excellent job with her show.

Keith and Rachel back to back....Great lineup!

I liked more of Verdict than most shows. Only a few are good every segment.
I think it is great Rachel has a show but I think it is crazy they are keeping David Gregory's show on. It is unwatchable unless Rachel is on it. And now she will never be on it. But even with Rachel the format is just horrible.
I like Dan Abrams a lot. They should replace Scarborough with him. It is unacceptable that Scarborough should be on all morning. In fact I think Contessa should replace Mika. Dan and Contessa were a likable pair. Mika and Joe ARE NOT.

MSNBC made a wise chose in punting the Dan Abrams show. It was weak and didn't offer anything of great intellect, information or challenge. Bringing Rachel Maddow in was a brilliant move on the part of the network. Dan Abrams seemed too childish and better suited for something like Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight. I just couldn't take him seriously.

Dan is cute but annoying at times but if anyone should go it should be David Gregory on Race to the WHite house followed by Hardball.

I can't wait for Rachel and Keith back to back. LOVE IT they are the only two who goes after John McCain and his dishonorable campaign fraught with LIES and nastiness

I agree that David Gregory's show is annoying.. even more so the simulcast on Rachel's Air America show. There is nothing new, no revelations, just talking heads and their blather. I really liked Dan Abrams, but the graphics turned me off until I forced myself to watch.
I hope that we see him again, he is really good.

But I really miss Tim Russert. Really Really.
