CNN just ran a bio of Joe Biden (Obama's VP pick, have you heard?), and it included his chairmanship of the Senate Judiciary Committee during the confirmation hearings of Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas. This was no surprise, but what did catch me off guard was the attention paid to Anita Hill, once again featured during that seminal moment of her testimony (er, sorry), wherein she quoted her then-boss Thomas as having said, "Who has put pubic hair on my Coke?" Funny, a clip from Bork's hearings were not included.

Anyway! I looked for the clip on CNN's site now that they're all embeddable and stuff (yay CNN!) but could not find it, so here is a clip of Biden questioning Thomas from that bygone era. It has 71 hits so far on YouTube; look for that to increase (though probably not because of us, alas).

p.s. Obviously it's not just CNN revisiting the past — I was referring to the scandalous, always-shocking pubic-hair comment, but of course Biden's record is ripe for the go-over by the opposite side. Here's Kathryn Jean Lopez on The Corner quoting from Clarence Thomas' memoir (hint: It's not very favorable to Biden). But, no mention of pubic hair.

Lou Dobbs and Wolf Blitzer are the Bill O'reilly for CNN, AC is Hannity and Jack is the only good guy on there.

Why was this posted? Way below the HP standards. I won't use my time reading any of Rachel Sklar's posts again.

Rupert is muscling in as a way to bully CNN into even more non-stop Obama-bashing. I can't even imagine what the rest of the world who is watching this election must be thinking.

America - who spouts off about how wonderful democracy is - has an election where the MSM - which REALLY IS FOX NEWS and the Rupert Murdoch empire - since he controls the WSJ and many other media outlets - is nothing but non-stop hate-mongerers.

And I can testify after canvassing that it's working. Voters who have absolutely no fricking clue as to the size and location of Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan are thoroughly convinced that "we need to kill as many of them over there, or they'll come over here and kill us." She was referring to Iraqi's at the time - and said as extra proof - and see - there haven't been any more attacks. Well -- the Iraqis didn't attack us on 9/11 either.

Ever notice that when you look at the Fox news headlines, there will be about 5 national stories - and the remaining 10 are usually salacious sex crimes?

cnn is baby fox news watch the talking points. rick sanchez got in trouble when he figuired out what happen at saddleback and they made him clean it up. i have no respect for cnn it a shame however that the media is in control of this election people who do not know better depend on what is told to them. unfortunately instead of covering up for mcain and boosting him up they should reveal him for what he is an old man reliving his vietman days. now the cnn has the hillary drama going on which is a repub ploy to destroy the party, it sickening

OK. I read the post, watched the video and read the referenced article. What's does the reference to pubic hair in my drink have to do with any of this?
