I understand why Obama did not pick Hillary. She and her husband have a lot of questions things in their past politcal careers. Plus she is good but the Clinton has upset the African Americans. Dems can not win without the African Americans. I applaud Obama on his choice of Biden a differnt kind of Washington and a family man.

SEEING CAROLINE KENNEDY ON MEET THE PRESS REMINDED ME OF SEEING HER AS A TEENAGER IN CONCORD, MA ABOUT 30 YEARS AGO. MY OFFICE WAS IN DOWNTOWN CONCORD WHILE CAROLINE ATTENDED CONCORD ACADEMY, WHICH WAS ACROSS THE STREET FROM MY OFFICE. I PASSED HER MANY TIMES ON THE STREET AND IN VARIOUS SMALL SHOPS. THE WONDERFUL ATTITUDE OF FELLOW CONCORDIANS WAS SO GRATIFYING. NO ONE EVER WENT UP TO HER ASKING FOR AUTOGRAPHS OR DOING ANYTHING OTHER THAN SMILING OR GIVING HER A POLITE GREETING. CAN YOU SEE THIS HAPPENING TODAY IN THE MAD,MAD , CELEBRITY WORLD, WITH PAPARROZI COVERING CELEBRITIES 24/7/ EVEN WHEN HER MOTHER JACKIE KENNEDY CAME TO VISIT HER AND THEY HAD LUNCH TOGETHER IN THE LOCAL BRIGHAMS, THEY HAD COMPLETE PRIVACY IN A PACKED RESTAURANT. ASIDE FROM THE NOSTALGIA, SHE IS AN EXCELLENT, RELAXED SPEAKER AND I FELT GOOD THAT SHE ENDORSED BARACK AS ANY SENSIBLE CONCORDIA WOULD

They are managing to ķill 3 birds with 1 stone ...

1. Destroy Sen O.'s character ( while at the same time courting Hill votes ) ...

I've been admiring Caroline Kennedy for my entire life......what a wonderful way to serve........and what a terriffic result.

It will be some time beore we know how much actual INFLUENCE Ms. Kennedy had on the decision.....

I'd like to think PLENTY ...which is a credit to Ms. Kennedy...and Sen. Obama both.........and bodes well for his cominng administration. Very pleased and reassured.

Politics aside....Ms. Kennedy grows more eloquent and more beautiful with each passing year............
truly an American treasure......how wise of Obama to call on her!

Tom Brokaw was obviously constrained in questioning Caroline Kennedy, as she enjoys a unique position as the only surviving daughter of JFK. Considering the delicate position that the media is in, she should have come forward regarding Hillary Clinton as to why she was not vetted despite Obama's repeated statement that Hillary would be in any body's short list. If Hillary stated that she would not like to be vetted, it should be understandable as she had nearly 50% support of the voters in the primary, as Obama himself did not need any wetting for nomination as he had majority by a narrow margin. On that argument alone , Hillary should have been chosen as running mate.
