I don't believe most of the people who post here claiming to be Hillary supporters who say they will now support McCain. The ability for ANYONE to sign on to this site and claim ANYTHING they want means that we are going to get plenty of trolls who come here and claim to be something they are not. There is no reason AT ALL for Hillary and her supporters to cause further dissension within our party. As she herself has said, anyone who supported her has WAY MORE in common with Barack Obama than they do with McCain and they would be doing themselves AND THEIR CHILDREN a great disservice by supporting McCain. The next President will get to name two or three Supreme Court justices and no one in their right mind wants John McCain to make those decisions. If that happens, Roe-v-Wade will be the least of our worries. If we get any more corporatists on the court like Roberts and Alito, our rights will continue to be eroded while corporations like Exxon and Halliburton strengthen their hold on our government and bleed our country dry.

Patience and time. Just wait until the election is over: If he wins, the Clintons will be marginalized by the Democratic Party. On the other hand, if he loses, his supporters will NEVER forgive her for what they have done to him; she will have no chance in hell to win the 2012 Democratic nomination, let alone the election. Seriously, as an Obama supporter, I feel it's important and essential to accommodate Clinton's supporters. Both of our factions need one another and we need to pull it together lest we allow that dangerous fool McCain to win by default.

And no, this isn't the sole responsibility of one camp or the other. We Obama supporters can't say, "you lost, now fall into line," and the Clinton supporters can't say "appease us or we will bring you down," lest we all lose, and if McCain wins, we ALL lose.

As an Obama supporter, I am willing to forgive and be forgiven so we can all move forward together and win.
