Pawlenty: Obama Should Have Picked Petraeus

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who is on Sen. John McCain's (R-AZ) vice presidential short list, criticized Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) yesterday for his selection of Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) as his running mate. Instead, Pawlenty said that Obama should have picked Gen. David Petraeus, who he considers "an outstanding leader and somebody who would better represent the mainstream of the country." Petraeus is the right-wing's dream candidate. Earlier this week, the McCain campaign floated Petraeus as a VP choice, despite the general's previous declaration that he has no desire to ever run for public office.

Is this Pawlenty dude mentally challenged? It sure seems like it. I can't even begin to make sense one way or the other why he would suggest this.

Why don't you have McSame pick Betray Us for his VP. Afterall, Betray Us is much more qualified on foreign policies than McSame. McSame was a soldier, but what did he do to qualify him as a foreign relations expert? He never lead a battalion or hold a high ranking military office like General Betray Us. Just because McSame is a soldier, it doesn't mean that he is wise, says Biden..and I agree. McSame has done nothing for soldiers and veterans. There are thousands of military families living on food stamps. Thousands more cannot even get their children to college because there are no scholarships for their dependents. I guess McSame doesn't understand that, and he shouldn't, after all he his sugar mama has provided well for him.

With all due respect the election of a military man to the Presidency or Vice Presidency requires the unique sort of leader that was Ike Eisenhower, who ran for office on a peace slate. To most military types, every international dispute is a war in the making. That philosophy needs to be declared DOA by not nominating a military leader to office. Period.
