If all the media droppings about drawing-down U.S. troops in Iraq were true then why is this maladministration suddenly spending BILLIONS more on private contractors and blast hardened PERMANENT structures all over Iraq? Especially in Baghdad.

Believe NOTHING!

And beware on an "October Surprise."

It's the ugliest form of greed and aggression. It's other people's land, other people's oil. The invasion is illegal. The occupation is igregious . It's a heinous war crime, against all humanity This thugging administion has no moral ground, are in no position to agree or disagree. JUST LEAVE other people and their land alone.

Joe Scarborough jumped down David Schuster’s back really hard on the air during a discussion on the Iraqi requested timetable. The flash point was when Schuster commented, “why can’t your party admit when it’s time to leave”. Scarborough went into an uncontrolled filibuster on how his party now hates him and how Schuster was late for Morning Joe several times, he just didn’t let up. Everyone on the set was clearing uncomfortable as Scarborough treated Schuster quite poorly. After the break Scarborough offered a hug and make up apology which Schuster did not take him up on. Scarborough was clearly unhinged.

W hasn't given them sovereignty yet. They can't be sovereign unless someone gives it to them.

I'll say it once and say it again.
Republicans have zero intention of leaving Iraq. It's their cash cow.

Why do Bush & McSame have the option to disagree with the leaders of Iraq? If they want us out...we leave. Simple as that.

We were told at the beginning of this extraordinary LIE, that once they held elections, had a "sovereign"government (like Bush evens knows what that means) and could take care of themselves then we would leave.

What's the hold up? They have a government, they have money, and they have an army.

McSame claimed that he knew them, knew them all "real" good and they would not ask us to leave...well they have...so now what are you going to say? I doubt that your POW story will be a sufficient answer for this little problem.

You'd think Bush would be happy - it's one of the, now forgotten, benchmarks (were any of them achieved?)

I thought the Republicans wanted to stay for a hundred years. Did Bush check with acting President Mccain? Besides all that money the Iraqi's have in US banks is to much of a temptation to let go of for the Republicans.

Have they asked us to leave too? If not you are comparing apples/oranges.

This makes the Republican accomplishments for the past 8 years "0" But they have spent us into oblivion, how many of our military paid the ultimate price - for what?, they have wasted the world respect we once had and looted our national treasury. But at least they're "Good Christians!" Remember - God spoke to Bush. He said so. But Bush did not do this by himself. The Republicans led the House, the Executive Branch and the Senate for 8 years - we are in fact living in a Republican designed America. They had all of the power and this is the end result. How do you like it?

How can Bush - who will be out of a job at the end of this year - talk with a straight face about what the US military will or won't do in 2011 anyway? I mean that's a really bad joke, right? Why hold an election for a new Commander in Chief. The old one isn't quite ready to stand down when the new one stands up.

So in 2011 the next president will be just over half way through their first term and Bush will be a bad memory.

Negotiating with Bush this late during his last few months in office is a complete and utter waste of time. Obama has no reason to honour any last minute deals cut between Bush and any other world leader. Al-Maliki knows that - everyone who isn't George Bush probably realises that.

Yet, George still suffers from delusions of adequacy.

Just pack up all your things and walk away,
I don't want to hear another word you have to say
I've been waiting for so long
I just found out there's something wrong
And nothing will get better if you stay!

More and more global leaders have that look on their faces when standing next to Bush, like they can barely stand being on the same stage.

Maliki seems like a spiritual and honest guy. I bet Maliki's being offered anything if he'll just play along.
