Cindy McCain Going To Georgia

It's not every aspiring First Lady whose comfort zone is a war zone, but such is the case for Cindy McCain, who left Monday on a mission to Georgia to assess the civilian casualties caused by the Russian invasion.

McCain is traveling with the U.N.'s World Food Program, whose work she monitored in Southeast Asia and Africa this spring and summer. McCain planned to meet with Georgian President Mikheil Sakaasvili, and to visit with wounded Georgian soldiers. She would also visit representatives of the HALO Trust, which works to remove landmines and on whose board she serves.

Cindy and John McCain visited Georgia together last year; in an interview with TIME at her Sedona ranch before she left, she emphasized that her years of work on overseas missions was "an important part of what I'm about, what makes me tick."

How loud would McCain's camp and the MSM be screaming if Obama dispatched Michelle to Georgia to "assess the civilian casualties."

PS. McCain's camp INCORRECTLY said yesterday that Obama 'dispatched' Biden so John would 'dispatch' Cindy.

Someone should tell McCain that Obama did NOT 'dispatch' Biden. The President of the United States & the President of Georgia ASKED for Biden to go because he is Chairman of the Foreign Relations.

McCain sends his wife to what amounts to a war zone to make some political points.
I don't think that shows very good sense and certainly no concern abou this wife.
There is nothing that Cindi McCain can do in Georgia that she could not do here or for that matter in Florida.

This is the type of White House McCain would run. Sending his family into dangerous areas so that he can show how macho he is. What a piece of work.

It is as she said " a quick visit" meaning a photo op which the GOP will use during
next week's convention.

She is likely adopting 6 Georgian children for the convention too.
