Hillary Clinton Rebuffs RNC Happy Hour Invite

The Nation:

In a bid to party behind enemy lines, tonight the Republican National Committee is trying to woo Clinton delegates with a "Happy Hour for Hillary" reception.

The RNC announced it is picking up the tab the Paramount Cafe, a few blocks from the Democrats' convention center, so that "open-minded Democrats" may consider backing John McCain. Hillary Clinton, however, is having none of it.

"This party won't exactly make it onto the list of recommended events for Hillary Clinton's supporters," Mo Elleithee told The Nation on Monday afternoon. "Senator Clinton supports Senator Obama and is urging all of her supporters to do the same," he added.

All this stuff only diminishes Hillary in the Dem Party. It's in her interest to quell this kind of anti-Dem rhetoric out of her supporters. Hillary is the one who fired her supporters up to the point where they can't accept anybody else and would rather vote against all their own interests and help McCain win in November. If McCain wins Hillary will take a lot of the blame.
