In another ad appealing to Hillary Clinton supporters, John McCain says it's okay to vote Republican. Watch:

She had the experience and judgment to be President.

Now, in a first for me, I'm supporting a Republican, John McCain.

I respect his maverick and independent streak, and now he's the one with the experience and judgment.

A lot of Democrats will vote McCain. It's okay, really!

Debra Barstovich was a delegate at the Democratic Convention before she was ousted for openly supporting John McCain.

That woman has no idea what she is endorsing. You'll notice she doesn't make mention of a single policy issue. She also claims that a guy that has a consistently conservative voting record is some how independent. It's true he doesn't vote with his party 100% of the time, the 5% of the time he doesn't he almost always bases his vote on believing his party is being too liberal.

Rachel Maddow was reporting tonight that in a post-commercial interview the young lady, Debra Bartoshevich, an ex-Hillary delegate who was stripped of her delegate status after saying she would vote for McCain, was asked how could she support McCain if she was pro-choice. She stated that all she knew was that he supported Roe v. Wade.

Many were asserting that once people, especially women, knew his stance on the SCJustices and issues like Roe v. Wade, that they would not back him. Unfortunately that requires people to know what the issues are they they claim they themselves are backing.

I know that poll tests are outlawed, but geez ... you need a license to drive a car, but anyone can pull a lever to help decide the next president of the United States. *sigh*

She totally disgusts me. No true democrat would ever consider voting for McBush against all of the Dems policies. No Democrat supports:

continuing GW's tax cuts for the rich
privatizing social security
denying our troops proper care
someone that knows little to nothing about the economy

There is nothing wrong with each side using members of the other's political party in cross-over appeals - there are a huge number of prominent and regular Republicans who are voting for Obama; what is unusual is that that Debra is using a Clinton poster in a McCain ad, suggesting Clinton herself supports McCain. Clinton must put out an ad that repudiates exploitation of her campaign for the benefit of the other party. If Debbie B had just spoken for herself without use of the Clinton poster, that's fair, but use of the Clinton poster puts an extra burden on Clinton to respond.
