I Like ItI Don’t Like It

In another ad appealing to Hillary Clinton supporters, John McCain says it's okay to vote Republican. Watch:

Transcript:

DEBRA BARTOSHEVICH: I'm a proud Hillary Clinton Democrat.

She had the experience and judgment to be President.

Now, in a first for me, I'm supporting a Republican, John McCain.

I respect his maverick and independent streak, and now he's the one with the experience and judgment.

A lot of Democrats will vote McCain. It's okay, really!

JOHN MCCAIN: I'm John McCain and I approved this message.

Debra Barstovich was a delegate at the Democratic Convention before she was ousted for openly supporting John McCain.

This is all part and parcel of an ambition and ruthless woman's anger and disbelief at losing the nomination. Hillary is probably very content with these ads.

Actually, she has come out against them by saying "I am Hillary Clinton and I do not approve these ads". Hopefully, she will hammer that home.

Let's put the blame where it belongs. This is a McCain ad, not an ad from Hillary.

I have a feeling there is a big chance that she is in fact a republican.. I wouldn't be surprised because one of the puma heads supported John McCain in 00'

I think that all the supposed Hill supporters that are now saying they are going to vote for McCainasaurus, were only supporting Hill because she was a woman and they wanted to see a woman in the WH. One issue voters.

If Hill had never been in the race, they would never have thought about supporting a Dem.

She's right! McCain does have the experience...the experience to lead us back into the last century. The experience to rekindle the Cold War, the experience to spend even more on our military than we are today when our defense spending is more than the rest of the world combined. The experience to make us live in fear instead of realizing that we are far safer than we were 30 years ago because of the way the world's economy is intertwined. McCain doesn't realize that our strength comes more from our economy than from our military. He's a leader all right, one who doesn't comprehend the concept or the power of the Internet.

She can have McCain lead her back into the past, I'll stick with Obama and move into the future!

She was a delegate to the Democratic convention until the free speech party kicked her out.

If the HRC supporters listened to how her campaign was run then they'd know why she lost. The fact that people could feeding into this nonsense is truly sad. Enough already and somebody really needs to tell the Clintons they really aren't that important. HRC was a candidate like the rest of those that ran and dropped out of the race. I'm not sure if this speaks to the strength of what Obama can endure and what he has to accept and hopes dies down too. One would think some of those diehard supporters that have since switched to Obama would speak out on his behalf. Maybe after HRC releases her delegates they can. If not, this is a train wreck that is really painful to watch

When I first heard the idea for this ad, I was angry. Not at McCain, who is just trying to win, but at the Clintons, whose tactics in the nomination fight left the door open for this sort of thing.

But then I saw the ad. Have you ever seen somebody look so scripted. She looks like she would back anybody who promised to put her on TV.

But there is one disturbing thing about the ad. It's the "it's okay, really" part where she is faux-whispering a secret to all those out there. It reminds me of the way, some people look around in a public place before talking about a specific ethnic group. I know that some will say that Obama fans are cry-babies when I say this, but there seems to be here, as there was in the Clinton campaign, an implied message that it's okay not to trust somebody who looks different than you do.

I can understand that, but the "kitchen sink strategy" wasn't necessary, and it did fuel this. I also believe that Hillary could do a better job stopping this. She has campaigned for Obama, but she hasn't forcefully spoken out against the idea that any supporter voting for McCain is appalling to her (if it isn't it should be). I heard Paul Begala speaking out against Obama's choice for VP. For God's sake it was his choice, and while Hillary may have made a great president and a great VP, she said way too many negative things against Obama during the primaries. Those statements would have come back to haunt the dems in every Mccain ad from her through November. Plus, I have read that Hillary asked not to be vetted unless she was the VP pick. If that is true, she took herself out of the running for theVP. Come on Hillary. We need to hear from you.

Hillary is way less experienced than Biden, he's clearly the better choice.

Well I can understand Debra. She is not voting on issues but on experience and judgment. I am the same. That's why I voted for Robert Mugabe in the last election in Zimbabwe because he had the experience even though he messed up the country with 80% unemployment and an inflation rate of 10 million percent. But at least he has experience and judgment (even if it is the wrong judgment).

it's no wonder 25-30 percent of Clinton supporters are leaning towards McCain after reading some of the posts trashing Clinton.

A lot of people like me didn't like the way she was treated but I'll be voting for Obama for the sake of the country and the middle class and poor.

If you want whats best for Obama and America you'd be wise to just shut your face. If you think that 25-30 percent won't make a difference you're a fool.
