The Republican National Committee's independent expenditure arm is out with its first ad, goading the division between Hillary Clinton supporters and Barack Obama supporters at the Democratic convention.

Transcript:

ANNCR: Who has the experience to govern our nation?

Sen. Clinton: "Senator McCain will bring a lifetime of experience to the campaign. I will bring a lifetime of experience. And Senator Obama will bring a speech he gave in 2002." (Source: CNN 3/8/08)

ANNCR: Barack Obama. He gives a great speech. But Americans must ask ourselves: should we elect the most inexperienced presidential candidate of our times? Or was she right? The Republican National Committee is responsible for the content of this advertising."

The ad airs in Colorado, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.

UPDATE: Hillary Clinton responds to this and other ads using her words against Obama: "I'm Hillary Clinton and I do not approve that message."

Long on Experience…

What is Experience? Years? Knowledge? Wisdom? Good Judgment? “He has experience,” implies the knowledge and wisdom to make good judgments, to use experience to make better decisions.

JFK had 13 years before becoming president; not long on experience, but long on good judgment. Nixon had 20 years; long on experience and short on judgment. Jimmy Carter’s had about 15 years; he was a better humanitarian.

Looking for experience in lieu of judgment is like the seed sown among the brambles; more seed just makes more bad fruit that is choked by its surroundings. You need fertile soil (good judgment) for decisions to bear fruit.

Bush, whose family’s extensive political experience should have counted for something, was short on judgment. Cheney, Rumsfeld: long on experience, short on judgment. Their “experience” is bankrupting a once record surplus, losing homes and jobs, exacerbating the healthcare crisis, borrowing billions from China to fund a war waged on specious grounds, and alienating our allies. Experience or good judgment: one does not imply the other.

John McCain parrots George Bush’s programs, his experience thinks our economy is strong, his experience would keep us in Iraq for “100 years;” his experience votes against women’s issues and veterans’ issues; his experience wants to privatize social security; and his experience wants to give tax incentives to oil companies who already have runaway profits.

John McCain, long on experience, short on judgment.

"I'm Hillary Clinton and I do not approve that message."

Yeah, well, if Hillary truly does not approve that message, then her image was used in the ads without her permission. And a lawsuit should have been forthcoming within seconds of it hitting the airwaves.

What does that tell you?

McCain has shown that his campaign is not running well and that he doesn't have a coherent message.

This is evident in 2 ads he has run this week.

McCain came out with an ad AFTER OBAMA HAD SELECTED BIDEN AS HIS RUNNING MATE which highlights comments from Biden during the primary debates saying that Obama was not ready to become POTUS.

Then McCain comes out with an ad featuring Hillary and her comments about Obama she made during the primary, and the McCain ad goes on to say that Obama didn't pick Hillary as his running mate because she told the truth, and in effect he was being vindictive.

McCain has to make up his mind .................. Biden made similar comments about Obama in the HEAT of the Democratic primary as Hillary did, YET OBAMA CHOSE BIDEN DESPITE THE COMMENTS ............... So how is it (according to McCain) that Obama has a "thin skin" in the Hillary ad and a "thick skin" in the Biden ad?

SO MUCH FOR THE STRAIGHT TALK EXPRESS.

Obama partisans complain Hillary Clinton’s team continues to act like she and Bill Clinton hold leverage. Well, I’m no expert but logging 18 million votes during the Democratic primary sounds sounds like plenty of leverage to me.
The Obama camp has to get wise to the fact that he doesn’t get those votes just cuz he won the nomination. They’re losing their minds because the Dems haven’t all snapped to it.
Guess it just goes to show how much of an amateur BO is.
He’s going around acting like he’s already got it in the bag. The VP selection was a major blunder.
Biden? lol.

His brush off to NM governor Bill Richardson as VP selection was the typical, bloodless empty Hollywood blather that betrays his feeling that he’s already got it in the bag. BO to Bill Richardson, breezily : “We’ve decided to go in a different direction.”
Well, that’s alright. I’ll go in a different direction with my vote.

John McCain’s a genuinely nice guy.
The world won’t end with him in office.

"The world won't end with him (McCain) in office."

No, it won't. The world will still go on in the aftermath of nuclear holocaust. In thousands of years, it may resemble once again what it is now.
Human life - that's another story.

If BO is an amateur, then what is HC? Answer: an incompetent manager and campaigner, and a hated figure. She had a 20-point lead and he beat her. I could care less what her hard core supporters do. BO will win without them. And even if JM wins, the idea that somehow HC wins as well is ludicrous.

This is for those Hillary supporters who will not vote or will vote for McCain. What are you five years old? You didn’t have your way and now you turn your backs on your country. Keep this in mind McCain and the RNC are playing you like a cheap fiddle. McCain’s record is very clear when it comes to women’s issues, veteran’s issues, middle class issues and so on. You love your children? If not then please go ahead and vote for McCain, his temper and saber rattling should show you he will jump in or start a war at a drop of a hat and when he does the draft will come screaming back to our country and your kids will be off to war and it wont be their choice. McCain is the total opposite of your parties view and your own views if you can’t see that then you are a fool. No one man knows it all Obama will surround himself with the best and the brightest and McCain will surround himself with lobbyist, people like Phil Gramm, Bush’s people and more of the same that we have dealt with for the past eight years. So its time to act like an adult and use your freaking brain for more than a hat rack.

Hey McCain, Hillary raised the exact same question during the primary and guess what: she lost.

Bottom line polls show that the majority of Americans want 'change' over 'experience.'

As an Obama supporter I want you to please keep re-hashing HRC's failed campaign strategies.

I would have supported Hillary. I am a Democrat. I'd rather poke myself in the eye with a sharp stick than vote for John McCain.

I agree with you.
I can't bring myself to vote for McCain either.
But that doesn't mean I'll vote for Obama, though.

As things stand, I'll probably skip voting for president.
If Obama thinks he can do without Clinton supporters then he can do without my vote.

The woman in the ad appears to be a delegate from Waterford, Wisconsin who, in July 28th, was stripped of her credentials by the Wisconsin Democratic party. (per Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.) I grew up in Wisconsin, my parents were both staunch party supporters and frequent campaign workers. This is a state party fueled by blue collar ethics and they have a take-no-prisoners attiude when it comes to party loyalty. So what you are seeing is McCShame using someone who was stripped of her credentials and replaced as a delegate by a Racine, Wi. woman, because she has activiely supported McCain from the onset of Clinton's campaign suspension, a blatant violation of Wisconsin Dem Party rules. Her whiney excuse was,
"Well, I can't just flip the switch like that." I'm sure it's explained to people that their candidate may not make it and they may have to flip their collective switches. She must not have been listening or gotten the memo. The local party said she was given innumerable opportunities to support Obama but refused.
Please do not delete this because I know what I am talking about; I grew up with people like this. It is, IMHO, clearly about race, not gender. I don't recall any minorities ever having lived in Waterford, but times may have changed. She may not have.

I want to ask All Hillary people :

How many US Troops killed in action is worth voting for McCain?

How many of you are volunteering to go to Iraq or Afghanistan under McCain.

I love my country and my Troops more than any person.
