Texas GOP Targets Obama's Kenyan Half-Brother

ABC News:

In a web video, the Republican Party of Texas hits back Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., on the "housing" issue in a web video that attacks the Democrat because his half-brother George lives in a shack outside Nairobi, Kenya.

"Barack Obama has viciously attacked John McCain and his family for being successful and living the American dream," says the ad's narrator.

Do they really want to go there? It is clear as day that the GOP has NOTHING on Obama they have to scrape and scrunge to find something. If McCain doesnt stop them I say its time to bring in Cindy McCain into the picture. Since they've already gone after Michelle I doubt there is anything more they could do that woman so lets turn the spotlight on Cindy. I have a feeling this is going to get ugly. John McCain better reign this in before it goes any further.

I sure hope the democrats make a add about Cindy's half sisters, they need to hit back at everything that the Republicans throw out there. If this is the only open they have for family values then they need to just leave that subject alone this time around. Obama said wives are off-limits. The sisters came out as a result of a story on NPR in which Cindy claimed to be an only child. Her sister's husband, I believe, corrected that by contacting NPR.

Then you must not listen to black talk radio. Warren Ballentine had Cindy's sister and her husband on his show, ripping Cindy and John a new one. I don't support John McCain, or for that matter, Obama. But I couldn't help thinking "What the hell does this obviously bitter, angry women have to do with Cindy McCain." They haven't even spoken for many, many years. And no one else was given time for rebuttal. Is THAT fair?

What possible relevance could Mr. Obama's half brother who the candidate has likely never met and maybe didn't even know existed have on this race? This guy has a relationship with the press, but none with Senator Obama. So, Obama and Cheney are related in some obscure way, right? So that makes Cheney relevant to Obama's qualifications for President now? The GOP should be careful with the "family values" stuff when their nominee has some family problems in his background - and they are a lot closer than half-way around the world: John McCain's abandoned first wife, Cindy McCain's abandoned half-sisters.

Nice try on your part. The family O bama has and knows about, he has acknowledged. Cindy did not.
O bama took a trip abroad to meet them. He mentions them in his book. Cindy claims she is the only child. Cindy steals recipes, prescription drugs and lied about meeting Mother Teresa. Mc Cane did not even know how many houses he owned and deferred it to his staff. Not a good comparison at all.

It's not disconcerting to me at all. Sen. Obama's biological father left him when he was a toddler and went on to have more children somewhere else with someone else. Why should Senator Obama be held responsible for those children?
