Texas GOP Targets Obama's Kenyan Half-Brother

In a web video, the Republican Party of Texas hits back Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., on the "housing" issue in a web video that attacks the Democrat because his half-brother George lives in a shack outside Nairobi, Kenya.

"Barack Obama has viciously attacked John McCain and his family for being successful and living the American dream," says the ad's narrator.

The picture raised of Obama's half brother who likes the way he's living and said so as opposed to the half sister of Cindy's whose bills were paid and she was given lots of money for her family prior to the dad's death then was cut off with noting once he was dead. He should have realizec Cindy would never take care of anyone other than who Cindy wanted to. Besides Cindy would have to cut into the money she had her kids spend by nothing to give her sisters something as she has so much money and houses she would miss nothing as she barely missed the 75k she spent on one credit card to supposedly furnish one condo. Cindy said herself she haad to buy another condo when the one she had bought was being used allthe time by her kids. Anyone who does that wouldn't miss anything she would give her sisters. I also wonder why Cindy's preference for foreign designers and wants nothing to do with US designers "unless John wins" of course. Yeah someone will show the sisters somehow as they did interviews in I think the rag National Enquirer, the rag who tagged John Edwards.

Typical limousine liberal. Texas is polluted because it has half the nation's refineries. If you go out to California, they are all so egotistical about how earth friendly they are. Of course, they burn up just as much gas, and use just as much electricity as anyone else, but they have all the power plants and refineries in other states, so it doesn't "count".

Build refineries and power plants in your own state for the gas and electricity you use, and then tell us all how green you are.

My name is Kwaayesnama (Baby Eagle Girl) and this Arizona resident is definitely supporting Obama. Why? Let me tell you. Without question it is his lack of support for our state in Washington. McCain’s call to fame is that he is the only representative in Washington never to request any earmarks for his home state. What does that prove? To me it shows that in McCain’s mind Arizona is so wealthy that we do not need any assistance from Washington. It seems he is happy to see all the tax dollars that we send to DC go to other states. Wake up John McCain! Arizona has Indian Reservations with unemployment over 60%. We have beautiful rural areas that would greatly benefit from an increase in tourism. McCain’s lack of concern for Arizona shows that when John and Cindy fly over our state in their private plane that they do not pay attention to the people that live outside of Scottsdale. Let’s see if in November the citizens of Arizona will send him a message and not vote for him.

He tries to portray himself as a person who is very inclusive, his arms are open, ready to embrace his supporters, his extended family so to speak. Of course that embrace doesn't extend to his own family, especially if they don't fit the image Obama is trying to sell.

Obama is real. His father left him and his mother at 2 years of age, he met him once again when he was 8. What in the hell is the tie to this child, nothing. Sometimes siblings don't want your help. Sometimes people want to support themselves. I do ok for myself, but some of my own family hasn't had the same good fortune or results from hard work. Most of them won't take anything from me, though. That doesn't mean I didn't try to help them out, or that I care about them any less. That being said, according to CNN, George Obama refused help from Barack, and claims that articles written about his plight are exaggerated.

elizaW, did you even bother to view the video? Did you know that Rethug attack ad took the photo from the CNN story? George doesn't care for those pushing for him to ask Obama for assistance. He saw Obama once, when he was a very young boy. He doesn't consider himself poor, but the Rethugs believes he's poor.

I suppose you missed the story and the pictures and the REALITY of Senator Obama and his family visiting his paternal grandmother in Ghana, of him and Michelle extending themselves to all of the people in her Ghanian village by encouraging them to take the AIDS test and taking the test themselves as an example. Maybe you missed the story about Senator Obama's Ghanian grandmother being as excited about the possibility of her grandson becoming the President of the United States of America, as is his grandmother in Hawaii, and of the love he shares with both of his grandparents. Maybe you missed the stories about his close relationship with his family, a family who reflects and represents virtually every racial and ethnic community, not only in America but in the world. Maybe you missed all of this because it doesn't serve to fit your narrative of who Senator Obama is.

The Republicans chose to target a man who was one of many children fathered by Senator Obama's father, who Senator Obama has met once in his life, who has made choices in his life that have created the circumstances in which he now lives, who not only does not consider Obama his brother, other than as another seed of their father's, and who does not hold Senator Obama responsible for his life choices.
