Tom Matzzie reports on the latest development in Barack Obama Bill Ayers attack ad saga:

Irony of ironies. Harold Simmons, the Texas billionaire and McCain fundraiser behind the incendiary ads attacking Senator Barack Obama, is divisive even in his own family.

It turns out that at least one of Simmons' daughters, Serena Connolly, is a max-out donor to both Senators Clinton and Obama. She wrote her first check to Senator Obama in the 2nd quarter of 2007.

Another Simmons daughter, Lisa Epstein, has donated to Democrats in the past.

Harold Simmons is a Dallas billionaire who maxed out his contribution to John McCain. Obama has asked the Department of Justice to investigate the ad. Campaign finance experts originally suggested the ad violated campaign finance law.

Obama does not know this man, 'just some guy around the neighborhood,' paraphrasin Obama's very first comment about his relationship with Ayers.

Perhaps it goes a bit deeper.

The Chicago Tribune published a piece written by Obama in 1997 where Obama talked about the current list of books he was reading. One of them was authored by Ayers.

Reading a book does not make one a "terrorist" (on over used waterd down term at this point). It only demonstrates a desire to understand where people with different philosophies come from, which is EXACTALLY what I want in a President. "My Pet Goat" ain't good enough!

If you had, you might spell it correctly. The h and f keys are not adjacent, so don't call it a typo.

And results in conservitives on crack. Then all is made well when those that are more liberally minded to undo all that is bad about Repugs and their ilk. Evolution does do good and we can see it even in our political development today. Just wish it was faster at rooting out the weaker Reich Wing tendencies...

Just one little point... I was 19 when Dylan wrote "The Times They Are A Changin" in 1963, so age has nothing to do with voting for Obama. Even we "oldies but goodies" get it and have worked from the the very beginning for the changes and hope he can achieve. The great thing is that we are in a country where change can happen if we all work for it. Hope you are planning to canvass, get out the vote, drive folks who can't get to the polls, and do what needs to be done to ensure what's left of my old age is good and make sure yours is better!

Good points I can agree with, but not all the oldies can think on their feet like you or see with 20/20 vision, some are scared of change, some prefer selfishly feeding off the crumbs that fall from the GOP trough and care nothing for their fellow Americans!
Yes, voters need to get out of their armchairs and take back what is theirs by right and put an end to America being ruled by a tiny minority of greedy ruthless rich men!
