Chris Matthews Battles Full-On PUMA Inanity

Because today is Catharsis Day at the convention, we figured we better do like Aristotle says in the Poetics and hit you with a double dose of pity and fear so you can purge both your raw, untamed emotion and your hope that life in America will ever get better for anybody. So, to that end, here's a video of Chris Matthews talking to a trio of PUMAs -- women who love Hillary Clinton whilst simultaneously hating the policies for which Clinton has fought. They are the total hot mess of the Democratic Convention.

Watch as they level bizarre accusations at Barack Obama (RELATED: "CNN debunks false report about Obama"), and then refuse to accurately cite the source of their claims. Maybe it was Lanny Davis or something! See, I don't know, and neither do they, but I can tell you, if I had tried to apply the same sort of "reasoning" in college, my professors would have knocked me unconscious and tossed me in a ditch, far from town.

Anyway, if possible, you should burn your computer after watching this. That is all.

PUMA is a four letter word. It's no better than the N word or any other racial slur. Notice that no one in the video calls themselves a PUMA or refers to it. Not even Mathews.

Basicallly as others have said, these are the Republicans that switched to vote for Hillary to screw with the Democratic result. Just an extension of the dirty politics the cheaters have done for the past two elections.

That reminds of an anecdote by the former UNC womens and mens soccer coach explaining about the difference between coaching men and women. When a female player had the chance to pass the ball to another player in position to score, she didn't and blew the whole play. Afterward, he asked why she didn't pass the ball. She answered, "I just don't like her." Like it or not, for some of these women, they'd rather irrationally ruin it for themselves and everyone because their beloved, yet seriously flawed, candidate didn't win. I really hope this election doesn't come down to their spitefulness. When it comes to firsts and glass ceilings (voting rights, elected office, Fortune 500 CEO, going to space) it's traditionally been white women. Obama's nomination breaks that pattern and some of these older white women are angry about it. But they also had blinders on. Hillary told big lies (NAFTA, Tuzla, etc) and had the wrong team. Enough Dems saw through that. It's that simple. Get over it.

I just watched the entire video and all this woman can come up with is inuendo no evidence .When asked where she got this report she says she won't tell him that .Well if you can't varify a so called report as being authentic then your just spewing a bunch of anti-Obama propaganda period !

Whoever these people are whether swiftboat Republican's or Hillary supporters or both they don't have what's best for this country in mind ! They either want attention or they want to sway those hold out Hillary supporters into voting for McCain.They are really only a small group no matter how many times they claim to be 18,million strong. If 18 million truly was the amount of votes she won then there surely aren't 18 million in PUMA because a great deal of Hillary supporters are now supporting Obama . They use that 18 million number to try and boost their relivance and maybe to scare Obama supporters into thinking they will actually be able to cause him to lose. These may be some of the same folks who crossed over in the primaries to stop Obama and possibly even to get Clinton as the candidate. Clinton would be a walk-over when it came to trashing and swift-boating. The ultra right positively foams at the mouth when it talks about her.

Wouldn't it be interesting to get the phone and financial records of the leaders? Could be most revealing. I would guess the millionaire Simmons, who was behind the Swift-boat ads, a current spurious ad and the Corsi book that misrepresents Obama, is the money behind these folks.

These women are not Democrats, not independent and not Hillary supporters. They are dirty trick operatives who are spreading lies. The woman who relies on a "congressional investigator" report wont say who he is BECAUSE, obviously, there is no investigator and there is no 17 page report.

Matthews should not have wasted his time and given these smear merchants a forum.

This is how this campaign is being waged by McCain and the Republicans.

What's ironic is that Hillary is NOW supporting the "chosen" democratic candidate. SHE called for "unity". SHE'S wanting what's best for the party and for the country.

I didn't stop to watch the video because I also saw as much as I could stomach LIVE as it happened. These women remind me of Joe McCarthy when he (a Democrat) was ruining lives. He'd wave his little piece of paper in the air, saying it contained the names of X number of Communists who worked for (Whatever industry or political organization) They are waving their pieces of paper that they say contain 'facts to link Obama to----". It could be their 'to-do' list, it could be their shopping list, it could be a receipt for dry cleaning. And what 'facts' do they have party to that the rest of us just can't seem to find anywhere? At least we can't find them in any CREDIBLE source....
