Joe Scarborough Vs. Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews On McCain's Gains In The Polls

***WATCH ROUND 2: SCARBOROUGH V. SHUSTER***

Monday night during MSNBC's convention coverage, Joe Scarborough was describing the surge John McCain has been experiencing in the polls over the last few weeks — but Keith Olbermann didn't want to hear it. Scarborough caught him mocking the suggestion, at which point the "Morning Joe" host rattled off a bunch of poll numbers defending his point and making the case that the McCain camp "has dug out of a grave" and "if this convention had been held two weeks ago, it would've been more of a coronation than a convention."

Olbermann and Chris Matthews scoffed at the suggestion that the race is close, with Matthews asking, "Are we done?"

In her defense, I believe that part of Mika's job description is to bend to obnoxious joe. She is a little too far to the right for me, but she's smart and connected and would be better leading that morning show than insignificant joe. I can't watch them anymore, not even for a minute. I can't wait to read that he is gone from the airways. If Faux takes him, sobeit, but to me he will be gone. Kieth had had to smack him down a couple of times and he still gets propped back up. I love when Rachel can handily dismiss him and get him into a sputtering rage...

Why do people put so much stock in polls? I've been voting in every election local, state and national since 1972 and have never been polled.

I don't think Americans are that stupid that they will not ask themselves one question. Am I better off now than I was four to eight years ago.

Enjoy Chris Mathews while you can. His contract is soon to expire and NBC doesn't want to keep him for what they pay him now - $5 Million per year. Word is that Mathews is going to run for US Senate in PA. He'll lose and hopefully fade away.
I don't know how much Olberman makes. Whatever it is . . . he's way overpaid.

To have Chris, Keith and now Rachel..MS­NBC might have decent viewing at night.../I am an old lady and remember the Phil Donahue Show..it was progressive and forward. The whole thing on the Fox issue which was brought up much earlier in the discussion is,

People in this country will openly chant F*ck Fox News openly to them as was demonstrated earlier at the DNC,

Fox News on the other hand would have to hire a crowd to chant the same thing about another network.

MSNBC and Fox aren't even close on the same level of bias. There is actually some balance to MSNBC, everyone at Fox is on the same page of overly bias accounts.
