Kucinich's Democratic Convention Speech (VIDEO)

Dennis Kucinich took to the podium today at the Democratic Convention and fired up the crowd with a rousing speech. Kucinich's enthusiasm reached a crescendo as he repeatedly exhorted the crowd with cries of "Up with America!" In case his words were not evidence enough of his fire, his body language put all remaining doubts to rest.

Please, everyone. Don't watch the convention on the regular news stations (including CNN and MSNBC). The only gavel to gavel coverage is C-Span or Public Television. There you will get all the speeches all the time without the inseccant jabber of the talking heads and their jacked up, uninformed TMZ version of what's going on. I e-mailed CNN and MSNBC and informed them that I would not be watching the convention on their channel.

I'm seeing WAY TOO MUCH "analysis" by Mark Shields and David Brooks, and WAY TOO LITTLE Convention coverage.

I was fortunate to see this live yesterday on CSPAN and I thought "why is he given such a lousy time slot with no coverage?" Maybe cuz ole' Howard Dean was afraid he might say the "I" word (impeach)? I hope that at least virally this great speech will get around to all. Thank you, Dennis.

Dennis was easily the best speaker so far, for the simple reason that he is a free man. Free from corporate influence and the need to repay his benefactors with political favors.
Free to speak truth to power, like he did yesterday.

Despite being ignored by mass media, including this site, Dennis Kucinich always inspires people and creates energy. The main ones putting him down are the fat cat Democratic party insiders who play the same game as Republicans.

Kucinich, more than any other Democrat, represents all that is good with the party.
Too bad that the party leadership is against almost every Kucinich policy from impeachment, to war funding, to FISA immunity, to health care and trade deals.

Kucinich's speech SHOULD have been the Kenote Address!!! Warner did OK, but did nothing even close to Kucinich in firing up the Democrats and taking on the contemptable Bush cabal and fraudulent Conservative agendas! His words are the factual "red meat" we Democrats need and have been longing to hear!

At least, Obama invited him to speak at the Convention, but he should have been given prime time so the networks would have HAD to cover him! Despite his stature, he's the TALLEST man in all of Congress!

It was awesome watching him grab the attention of the audience. They looked surprised to see this little man morph into a Preacher.

As our next Secretary of Labor, Dennis will be the second shortest, with the hottest wife, and perhaps most deserving of our loyalty as Democrats. He is part of why I am proud of my party and my country.

He puts the proof to the foolishness of judging people by the way they look, and not by how they think.
